My name is Adrian Gonzalez. I am a recent graduate from California State University, Dominguez Hills and earned a Bachelor of Ar t s in Ar t, with a concentration in Graphic Design and with a Minor in Motion Graphics. I originally majored in art education but once I transferred out from Long Beach City College I realized that I wanted to pursue a bachelor’s degree in graphic design. I enjoy the aspect of visual communication through the use of type, space, and image.

Renew Dry Eye kit is intended for people who suffer from chronic dry eye disease.
Packaging design for a class project consisting of a kit designed for people who suffer from chronic dry eye disease. The color palette for this kit is a selection of cool colors that provide a sort of relief. The Renew dry eye kit consist of lubricant eye drops, allergy eye drops, omega-3 supplements, night ointment, uv sunglasses, and a warm eye compress. There is also an infographic included in the kit to give the user a better understanding of the causes, preventions and treatments of dry eye syndrome. The kit was designed to be able to carried and taken anywhere inside it’s custom designed carry bag.

Postcard design was for the 2015 annual senior exhibition at Cal State University Dominguez Hills.
Postcard design for the 2015 senior exhibition. This project was intended for the anyone who is interested in arts or in the art and design program at CSUDH. The front cover of the postcard was designed by taking the title of the exhibition and re-creating it as a conceptual design. The back of the postcard has a unique design consisting of the information for the exhibition. Approximately 3,000 copies were distributed throughout the community.

Conceptual book cover design for a well-known novel. The cover design was created by only using photography. The color palette for this project is blue and yellow. The color palette was chosen to create high contrast. This book cover design was intended for people who enjoy reading and are intrigued by unique book covers.

Series of theatre posters from plays that occurred in the mid 1900’s.
Poster series consisting of three different plays that were popular during the mid 1900’s. This poster series is intended for people who are interested in past plays and are intrigued by conceptual design. Each poster design was approached in a conceptual way making the plays more attractive to today’s viewers. The series color palette is blue, red, and yellow. Each image in the posters were photographs that were to create a dramatic poster.

Logo design selected as the new logo for the Loker Student Union at CSUDH and will also be used for the rebranding of the building.
Logo design for the Loker Student Union. The stationary was created to show how the new logo would appear in different items. The color palette used for the logo design are the same colors that are used to represent CSUDH. The basic mock-up stationary includes an envelope, business card, t-shirt, notebook, pencils and an interactive app.

2015 spring calendar of events for Toro Productions at Cal State University Dominguez Hills.
Calendar design for Toro Productions includes information about upcoming events in campus. This calendar design was intended for current and incoming students who are interested in participated in campus activities. Each month consists of a different illustration that pertains to the specific month. The illustrations were created by altering text and making sure there is some sort of hierarchy between the words displayed in each illustration. The color palette for this project consist of black and khaki.

Magazine including studetnts design work from Carson High School.
A magazine that includes high school students’ design work. There are six participants that had their work included inside the magazine. Each student was able to establishtheir own identity by attending a series of design workshops. The outcome of the workshop was a magazine that was used to expose how design is needed in high schools. The magazine was printed and distributed to the community in hope to bring more exposure to graphic design.

Poster designs that were produced while working as a graphic designer at Loker Student Union. Each poster was designed for a specific event in campus or outside of campus. Some of the poster designs were inspired by posters found online. The photography seen in the posters are not my own photography they are images provided by google images. I designed the placement of the images and text.

Photography series for the Don Quixote photo exhibition at Cal State University, Dominguez Hills.
Second place winner of the Don Quixote photography competition at CSUDH. The exhibition includes aspects of the world famous Don Quixote novel. The photography series is a conceptual approach to the novel. The image on the left pertains to manipulation the top middle image pertains to gender . The middle center image pertains to violence, the bottom center image pertains to madness. The image on the right pertains to race. Each image was taken by using daylight and using a white construction paper as the background.

Stop motion animation for a class project.
Screen shots of stop motion animation that was made for a motion graphics course. The animation was created by taking over 900 photos. the scenes in the animation are all unique and do not repeat, There are four different color backdrops which were created by using different color construction paper. The letters are 3D cardboard letters. The letters were painted different colors to appear different throughout the animation.

Website designs for class projects. The top row design was for a non-profit organization based out of Los Angeles. The middle row design was a mock-up for my portfolio site. The bottom row design is a parallax website design, intended for a design blog. All three websites are interactive with a internet connection.
