Innovative leadership of professional development This exciting opportunity is for colleagues with experience of leading professional development (PD) in all educational phases and sectors as well as aspiring and new PD leaders. Over 200 PD leaders have successfully completed this programme. The role of the person responsible for professional development in educational organisations has been changing rapidly. This programme offers a practical and interactive opportunity for you to develop further your vision and strategy for PD, be clear about how to be more effective in supporting the professional development of all colleagues and develop skills in effective collaboration and impact evaluation. This programme supports you to: • • • •

develop a vision for PD and its centrality to improvement, performance management and learning for adults, children and young people appreciate your strategic role and that of other leaders and members of staff plan for effective PD and evaluate its impact to make a difference for colleagues and outcomes for pupils develop a vision for a learning community where collaboration makes a difference

Programme dates and outline for 2013 - 2014 • • • •

Participation option: you can attend all three sessions at the IOE at a cost of £260.00 per person. Accreditation option: you also have the option to develop your learning by writing a portfolio based assignment for 30 M-level credits (subject to eligibility). There is an additional cost for this option. If you choose this option, you are offered further reading and support for the assignment and can explore options to progress to other Masters opportunities.
