ABOUT ME Adrianna Julia

I am a highly motivated design student focused on establishing a career in Commercial Interior Design. Inspired in designing spaces in hospitality and restaurant design focuses as well as an interest in high end residential spaces. I fell in love with Interior and Architectural Design at a very young age. It is considered my greatest passions in life. I dream to become an interactive designer in all my future career endeavors. I am very intrigued by the possible opportunity to work in this field. As a Junior Interior Design student at High Point University, I am passionate about creating original design with an individual and team-based curriculum that will help broaden my overall knowledge. A career in design starts with a good foundation. My plan is to build this foundation and grow both professionally and individually.

Next Hub Design Competition

Digital Renderings

The Fall 2019 Semester, we were involved in the Steelcase Design Competition to create a Hub for University students. The overall aesthetic of my NEXT Hub is derived from the idea of nature and the openness of the outdoors being brought within the space for the same feeling of flow and assistance to the worlds work. The roundabout is a connection hub for a directional path to different areas within the facility. Designing a space that contributes to the future generational thought through innovative and inspiring design choices.

Commercial design The Spring 2019 Semester, we were given the assignment to create a Coffee Shop and Co Working Space for Matthew Dwyer. The idea of a Co Working Space implemented in a public cafĂŠ or coffee shop is gaining popularity in major cities. I designed a space that is contemporary in form and color and that combines simple elements with bold ones. Implementing adventurous graphics helps enhance the spaces while inspiring the people using the space. Fabricating strong geometric personality amongst the space assists in movement throughout. To design a space that conceptualizes contemporary architecture and combines nature and the industrialization movement.

RESIDENTIAL design

Hand Renderings of Spaces

The Spring 2019 Semester, we were given the assignment to create an apartment for Jordan Bone and her daughter Ellie. Due to Jordan’s condition, as a class and as a designer we had to research ways of how to make someone home more accessible and comfortable while also creating a space that looks good and meets the requirements for the client. My design statement was to design a home that is efficient in satisfying the needs for a quadriplegic while allowing proper accessibility between spaces. To design a luxurious and modern, Art Deco inspired space that will overall meet the needs and likings for Jordan and her daughter.

In 2005, 15-yearold Jordan was in a tragic car accident that caused her to be paralyzed from the chest down. She now is 29 years old with a growing YouTube channel where she expresses her love for makeup and fashion through tutorials and it is also an outlet for her to share her passions and past struggles.

Profiles project

Promenade Space Assignment

The assignment objective was to work with a client, fellow classmate, to fabricate a space that would be placed on the promenade that showcases profile ideation and overall met the clients wants and needs for an individualized space. working through precedents and clients wants, I went with a tree profile that would be used as an overhang for the space that kept an open and airy feel throughout. The trees projections and curvilinear lines was very inspiring and showcased the proper environment that would attract a lot of individuals and students across campus.

Glass Table The assignment objective was to create a glass table that fits in a required measurements. Through the research and discovery of the creative and beautiful illusion of a series of lines or planes, the design for this glass table was in the works. Manipulating the lines and forms led me to creating a hourglass shaped form, when looking at it from the top. From the side views it is a simple series of glass pieces, and from the front it is a camera lens or illusion of movement. This table being glass and the way it is allows for a variety of ways to see this object. It will be used as a centerpiece or conversation piece in any interior space.

Cross sconce

Luminaire Lighting Project

Cross3 Corner Sconce is a true sculpture art piece. The dynamic yet simple design helps illuminate light in a unique and interesting way in an interior space. The three crossing rectangular forms stacked and connected with a metal rod give the lamp a building structure facade. The dark wood helps the sconce stand out in an interior space. Rather than gold the silver metal helps build an industrial feel for the sconce which helps bring out the dynamic and shape for the luminaire. The lamp is seen as a various number of forms each way it is looked at which make it overall a progressive and never been done before sconce design.

Student works Through my time at school, it is essential that we have learned the skills of hand rendering various spaces. The drawings shown below showcase my rendering and hand drawings skills. Learning and doing perspective drawings some with color and some without to overall showcase the talents I have learned the past few years as a design student.
