WHY WILMINGTON, NC In 2001, JBM & Associates was founded and fell into the unique niche of producing quality boat shows in the Southeast, starting in Charleston, SC and continuing with Savannah, GA, as well as a couple of years in Northern FL. We always had an interest in the Wilmington market, with its proximity to so many boat builders, manufacturers, dealers, as well as boaters. It is situated perfectly on the Eastern seaboard for a great boat show. We had one small problem. There was not a single venue large enough to hold a major boat show. It took a decade for the dream of producing the Wilmington Boat Show to become reality. Thanks to the opening of the Port City Marina, we are now able to bring a first-class boat show to Wilmington.

SEVERAL AWESOME LOCATIONS = ONE GREAT SHOW! We have been working for more than two years to create the inaugural Wilmington Boat Show. With the ever-changing landscape downtown along the Riverfront, we have had to be flexible and patient as plans changed over the years. Although there is on-going construction, we are thrilled with how the showâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s footprint has evolved. You can start your boat show experience at the Wilmington Convention Center or at Battleship NC Park. We have partnered with Wilmington Water Tours to taxi you back and forth between locations. What a FUN way to start your day on the water.

CONVENTION CENTER This is home to several boat displays, fishing and sailing clinics for kids and adults, as well as a variety of marine-related vendors. CONVENTION CENTER EVENT LAWN Youâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;ll find kidsâ&#x20AC;&#x2122; activities and other displays. RIVERWALK More than 60 vendors will display along the Riverwalk. PIER 33 Additional boat displays, live entertainment and food and beverages. MARINA DOCKS There is nothing like seeing boats in their element. The Port City Marina docks will have boats of all different sizes, makes and models, as well as a demo dock where you can try before you buy. BATTLESHIP PARK More boats, food and entertainment and the famous water skiing squirrel, Twiggy!

TOUR THE R/V CAPE HATTERAS The R/V Cape Hatteras is a 135-ft vessel owned and operated by Cape Fear Community College. This vessel serves as the ocean training vessel for the College’s Marine Technology curriculum students who spend thirty-two days at sea. Additionally, the ship is available for oceanographic research use through charters by outside agencies. Behind the Cape Fear Community College Boat Building Shop (adjacent to the Wilmington Convention Center) Saturday: 11am - 4pm

FISHING KNOT DEMONSTRATIONS Von is considered to be an exceptionally skilled fishing guide and fishing purest. These skills which were enhanced by his father and uncle include the art of fishing knot tying and rigging—a skill that is demonstrated in Von’s fishing results and customer satisfaction. SPECIAL FEATURES TOUR THE CAPE FEAR COMMUNITY COLLEGE BOAT BUILDING SCHOOL CFCC’s boat building school offers two programs designed to teach students the fundamentals to work in the boat building and repair industry. The programs focus on hands-on training in traditional and modern boat construction, repair, and mechanical system maintenance. Located along the Cape Fear River (adjacent to the Wilmington Convention Center) Saturday: 10am - 6pm Sunday: 11am - 5pm

MARINE PATROL EDUCATION TRAILER The North Carolina Division of Marine Fisheries Marine Patrol Education Team travels throughout the State of North Carolina educating recreational fishermen and the general public on sustainable fishing and protecting North Carolina’s natural resources. MARINE OFF GRID The MOG (Marine Off Grid)tm, a Totally Electric Powered Solar (TEPS)tm boat, is run completely by solar energy collected from the sun. With a length of 40 feet, beam just over 11 feet, draft of 18 inches and height above water of 8 feet, it is able to cruise nearly everywhere kayaks and cruisers can go. THE CREW OF THE SCARLETT DRAGON The Crew of the Scarlett Dragon is a not-for-profit fantasy pirate crew which provides children’s activities, such as face painting, ring toss, pirate putt putt, educational activities, flag making and bead stringing, just to name a few. There will be plenty of photo opportunities as well. The crew has a traveling display of their vision of a Captains Table. They’re historically inaccurate and they like it that way. PROFESSIONAL ANGLER MIKE DELVISCO Texas Roadhouse pro, Mike DelVisco is a full-time professional angler and has competed on the Bassmaster and PAA Tours, currently competes on the FLW Costa Series Tour and is a 2007 and 2008 Grand Slam and 2009 Bassmaster Series National Championship qualifier. In addition to competing, Mike conducts seminars around the country at many popular sport shows and is a former Bassmaster University instructor.
