As we move into the next part of the cycle with registration quickly approaching, I want to take a moment to recognise the incredible work each of you has been doing so far this year. Your dedication, resourcefulness, and resilience are what drive our success, and I couldn’t be prouder to work alongside all of you. Remember, every challenge we face is an opportunity to grow and learn. Let’s keep our attention on our goals and support one another in reaching them. Each call you make, each interview you conduct, and every interaction with a prospective student is an opportunity to showcase our value and what makes the CI great! It is hard to believe that December is upon us and I’m sure you are all looking forward to a very well-deserved break before we enter the registration period. As we return in January, stay motivated, stay positive, keep your focus sharp and continue to strive for excellence.

Let’s finish strong! All the best.

A Day in the Life of a Top Achiever

Sananda Des Ormeaux, who was recently awarded the Top Achiever Award earlier this year, has consistently stood out as one of the top-ranked Senior Student Advisors throughout the year. Her exceptional contributions and performance have garnered significant recognition. WHAT HELPS YOU STAY FOCUSED AND MOTIVATED DURING A TOUGH WEEK OF NO-SHOWS OR RESCHEDULES? When a week doesn’t go as planned, I focus on what I can control. I channel my energy into

completing smaller tasks that might have been pushed aside due to consultations. This

approach helps me feel like I’ve still managed to

achieve my goals, even when things aren’t going perfectly.

WHEN DO YOU PUSH HARDEST IN THE MONTH TO ENSURE YOU MEET AND EXCEED TARGETS? I always push hardest during the first week of the month. I treat those initial days as if they

were the last week of the month. This strategy

sets me up for success and reduces pressure as the month progresses. It’s a method that has never failed me.

HOW DO YOU BUILD AND MAINTAIN RELATIONSHIPS WITH APPLICANTS AND SCHOOLS? I focus on two key steps: regular and effective communication and

personalised support. The first call with an

Teaching and Learning AI IN THE CURRICULUM Our ongoing A.I experiments in the curriculum are pushing the boundaries of teaching and learning innovation. These initiatives are

We plan to showcase these pioneering projects in a dedicated AI exhibition early next year.

Inside the World of a Business Analyst

The Role and Purpose of the Business Analyst As business analysts, our core mission is to bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions, ensuring that the organisation’s strategies and operations are in harmony with its objectives. We serve as key intermediaries, fluent in both business and technical languages, enabling us to translate business requirements into actionable and effective plans.

3. Process Improvement. 4. Project Support and Management. 5. Training and Collaboration.

How our Team Can Benefit the Sales Team •

Better Decision-Making: We provide the

sales team with the information they need to make informed decisions quickly, reducing

guesswork and increasing the likelihood of success. •

Efficiency Gains: By identifying

inefficiencies and recommending process

improvements, we aim to help the sales team work more efficiently, allowing them to spend more time engaging with prospective students. •

Enhanced Communication: As

intermediaries, we are positioned to facilitate better communication between the sales

team and other departments, ensuring that

sales needs and challenges are understood and addressed. •

Support for Growth: By managing projects and implementing new tools, our goal is to support the sales team’s growth, helping teams to adapt to new challenges and opportunities with minimal disruption.

The business analyst’s role can form part of the sales team success, providing the insights, support, and tools needed to thrive in a

management is crucial for our sales team to stay ahead of the competition. Proper data

management ensures that the team has access to accurate, up-to-date information, which is essential for making informed decisions, understanding our current position, and

predicting where we will end the year. By

managing data effectively, our sales team can

unlock valuable insights that lead to better sales strategies, improved prospective student

relationships, and ideally, increased sales.

Why Data Management Matters 1. Improved Decision-Making: Accurate and

well-managed data allows our sales team to make informed decisions quickly. Whether

it’s identifying high-potential areas for school engagement, optimising priority mixes, or

improving our year-on-year position, having the right data at hand makes a significant difference.

2. Increased Efficiency: With proper data

management practices in place, the sales

team can reduce the time spent searching for errors in information and focus more on

selling. Organised data systems ensure that information is easily accessible, reducing

errors and saving valuable time. Make use of your SharePoint and keep well-organised

backup filing systems to enhance efficiency. 3. Risk Management: By maintaining clean

and accurate data, we minimise the risks of leaving activity on the table. Effective data

management allows us to identify potential

problems early, enabling us to take proactive measures to ensure we end the cycle on a positive note.

IIE-VEGA As part of our Vega.25 celebrations and our “All Kinds of Crazy” mantra, we have organised a series of 10 live and recorded talks featuring

A member of the Vega Voice Student Committee (VVC) facilitated each conversation, creating a connection between current students and our

The series featured alumni from our very first class in 1999 to our most recent graduates, each sharing their unique interpretations of what “all kinds of crazy” means to them. 46
