SUSI (Secure & Unified Smart Interface) provides a set of user-friendly, intelligent and integrated interfaces, which speeds development, enhances security and offers added value for Advantech platforms. SUSI plays the role of catalyst between developer and solution, and makes Advantech embedded platforms easier and simpler to adopt and operate with customer applications.
SUSI contains 3 categories of features: Control, Display and Monitor Control : Control to the devices connected with GPIO, I2C and SMBus buses Display : Adjust the brightness of LCD panels or turn on/off the power of display devices Monitor : Monitor the system status, including voltage, temperature and fan speed. The Watchdog restarts the system if it freezes or crashes.
Benefits Design Service Our design service helps customers deliver custom designed system software to quickly implement their added value solutions. Dedicated experts are assigned for dedicated projects. Wideband Extended Temperature Testing (ETT) Solutions • Phoebus Design, for Designed-in Extreme Temperature Operation A new Advantech ETT solution is “Phoebus Design”, which involves designing a platform and pre-qualifying all onboard components to operate without failure in extreme temperature conditions. Phoebus Design provides 32-hour testing between -40 and 85º C to bring a new dimension to extreme temperature platforms.

• Conformal Coating Service A conformal coating service is offered to protect the PCB and components from dust, moisture, fungus, corrosion and vibration. The coating can be brushed or sprayed onto the PCB, depending on application needs. A conformal coating can help minimize electromigration between metal conductors. In addition, the use of a conformal coating can protect circuits and components from direct contact that can lead to abrasions or electrical short circuits.

ACPI Support Advanced Configuration and Power Interface Specification is supported by the Advantech BIOS in order to fully support modern ACPI compliant operating systems.
Fast Boot We can fine tune the BIOS POST procedure regardless of the customer's configuration to speed up the system POST time. In general, the POST time can be under 10 seconds.
CMOS Backup Provides CMOS back-up function so the system retains settings previous to shut down, thereby reducing maintenance effort.
Blank Boot Some customers want to disable the video output during POST stage and we can provide this function in BIOS.
Customer Specific CMOS Defaults If the customers want to have their own SETUP default settings. The customization is allowed in Advantech embedded BIOS.
