However, an internet search showed her that in January 2018, Oprah Winfrey became the
first black woman to be honored with the Golden Globe’s Cecil B. DeMille Award — since its inception in 1952 — for outstanding contributions in entertainment. “That surprised me because I thought things like this happened a long time ago,” Savanna said to the audience of February’s Black
