Retiring chiefs leave wisdom for mil-to-mil couples

by Senior Airman Elizabeth Baker 86th Airlift Wing Public Affairs Two soon-to-be-retired chief master sergeants sat next to each other on interview chairs, teasing each other and laughing as they spoke. They both give an impression of being easy-going, yet enthusiastic.

“We’ve been married 14 years,” the woman said.

“And we’ve never had a fight,” the man responded.

They both burst out laughing.

After a combined 52 years of service, this couple of chiefs retired from the U.S. Air Force on Oct. 25. Their 14 years

as military-to-military spouses were full of challenges, victories and lessons to pass on.

Retired Chief Master Sgt. Robinson Joseph, a New Jersey native, is the former U.S. Air Forces in Europe and Air Forces Africa Chief Enlisted Manager for the Air Force Installation Contracting Center, and his wife, retired Chief Master Sgt. Leenette Joseph, from Puerto Rico, is the former USAFE Equal Opportunity functional manager.

Looking through their shared life together, it is a story of two Airmen carrying each other through a combined 21 assignments and six deployments. Robinson played the role of “big-picture thinker” in their careers, and Leenette humanized their service.

After closing their Air Force careers together, the Josephs wanted to leave advice for other military-to-military couples.

“I know some couples get competitive,” Robinson said.

“There’s no competition with your spouse. If my wife outranks me, cool. If I outrank my wife, cool. We still have that same name tape on the right.

We pushed each other along and enjoyed each other’s success.”

Many military couples seemed as though one spouse always has the spotlight, while the other feels a career sacrifice is needed for the other to do well.

“We discovered early in our careers that neither of us had to sacrifice,” Leenette said.

The couple never got promoted the same year, no matter how hard they studied.

“My proudest moment of him was when he made chief,” Leenette said. “He worked so hard. He was taking care of people, and just seeing his face when he made chief was priceless.”

Robinson reciprocated the sentiment.

“My proudest moment was when she was a PME instructor and she won instructor of the year,” Robinson said.

“I always had faith that she could do it.”

When there were disappointments, such as not making the promotions we worked so hard for, being there to console and encourage each other carried us through, Robinson said.

Though Robinson and Leenette go to such lengths for each other, their families, and their careers, the biggest thing Leenette would pass on to other military couples is, that it’s impossible to be perfect.

“I wanted to wake up early in the morning and be the perfect wife, the perfect mom, and the perfect Airman,” Leenette said. “For the longest time I tried to do all three, and I failed. I wasn’t taking care of myself and I wasn’t good with anything because I was trying to be perfect at everything. You’re never going to be perfect at all three things at the same time.

I say do the best you can with the resources you have, and things will work themselves out. Just take care of yourself.”

Robinson said that there’s no way a chief can lead alone.

They said there were times when each of them would shine, and the other would be in a supportive role.

“You gotta have support,” Robinson said. “I get a chance

to go home and hash out ideas with another chief. When I bring it back to the unit, the ideas are that much better.”

There were certainly hard times in their years together, with deployments being the biggest challenge.

“There have been many times when we felt like single parents because one of us was gone,” Leenette said. “I think the most challenging time was when both of us got deployed at the same time.”

The Josephs had to send their three children to family members, and getting everyone on the phone at the same time was a logistical nightmare.

Yet, they pushed through.

They learned that there was a major factor to maintaining their relationships over long distances: communication. Sometimes they got creative. One of Robinson’s ways of communicating was sending gifts to Leenette. While

deployed, he would find people passing back through their home station to deliver gifts and notes.

At the Joseph’s retirement ceremony, there was a scramble to add chairs because so many people showed up. Leenette and Robinson received awards and accommodations for their service, and reminisced over their careers and lives together. Robinson told the story of how he proposed to Leenette with an onion ring at a fast food restaurant. He said he wanted to propose again, properly this time, and surprised her by doing just that.

He got down on one knee and gave her a ring. They then renewed their vows, tears in their eyes.

Ready to let the next bright minds take their place, Robinson and Leenette are looking forward to spending more time with family — without nametapes, boots and no rush.

2019 TRICARE Open Season, Federal Benefits Open Season starts this month

by TRICARE Communications Did you know that the TRICARE Open Season and Federal Benefits Open Season happen only once a year? Unless you experience a Qualifying Life Event, open season is your only chance to enroll in or make a change to your enrollment for the participating programs.

TRICARE Open Season applies to anyone enrolled in or eligible for a TRICARE Prime or TRICARE Select health plan. Federal Benefits Open Season is for enrollment in a Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program dental and vision plan. Both the TRICARE and FEDVIP open seasons will run from Nov. 11 to Dec. 9. The enrollment choices that you make during this period will take effect on Jan. 1, 2020.

“Get a head start on open season by reviewing your benefits now and thinking about how much health, dental, or vision coverage you’ll need for the 2020 plan year,” said Mark Ellis, chief of the Policy and Programs Section of the TRICARE Health Plan at the Defense Health Agency.

“You can visit the TRICARE and FEDVIP websites to learn more about your options, specific plans, and costs.”

TRICARE Open Season If you’re eligible to participate in TRICARE Open Season, you have three choices for your 2020 health coverage: • Do nothing. If you want to stay in your current TRICARE health care plan, you don’t have to take any action. You’ll continue in your current health plan through 2020 or as long as you’re eligible.

• Enroll in a plan. If you’re eligible for a TRICARE Prime option or TRICARE Select but not enrolled, you can enroll in a plan now.

• Change plans. If you’re already enrolled in TRICARE Prime (including the U.S. Family Health Plan) or TRICARE Select, you can switch plans and

switch between individual and family enrollment.

TRICARE Open Season doesn’t apply to TRICARE For Life. TFL coverage is automatic if you have Medicare Part A and Part B. If you wish to make changes to your existing plan, you must do so during open season.

Lessons through mistakes

I have a couple scars across my body.

The one on my knee is from going down a gravel road in shorts, on a brake-less bike. The scar across my chin was from when I had the idea to try a ‘behind-the-back-push-up.’ I wasn’t successful.

When I see these scars, I don’t beat myself up for the mistakes I made when I was younger, I think of the lessons I learned from them, no matter how difficult of a situation it was.

Of all the scars, I think of the faded, jagged line on the side of my hand from needing surgery after I

broke my hand in a fight.

I was an airman first class and had only been 21 for a few months at the time. A few friends and I decided to go to Oklahoma City to go bar hopping.

We had a plan. We didn’t need a designated driver to get around, and we had a hotel. We thought everything would be fine. Everything wasn’t fine.

Fast forward several hours, my face is red, my pride is in shambles, my hand is swollen and my three friends and I are being kicked out of our damaged hotel room.

Even though the fight was over, I knew worse was to come. I’d have to go through ADAPT (Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Treatment) as well as anger management courses.

I also knew the two of us who started the fight would have to pay for the damages to the hotel, approximately 5,800 dollars total.

During the next three weeks, I was a wreck. I slept very little, ate less, and my body shook anytime I had to talk to leadership. Thankfully my leadership thought the consequences I already faced were punishment enough and I only received a letter of reprimand.

Even though this was probably one of the most stressful times of my life, I wouldn’t change a thing.

It developed me into a better Airman learning how to take responsibility for my action, the importance of communication and even the importance of financial responsibility.

ful way of figuring these things out?

Of course! Now being a noncommissioned officer, I’m able to teach my Airmen these lessons without them raging in a hotel room.

I try to keep that mindset every day and in every situation. What could be learned from all this?

As Airmen, we must constantly be ready to observe failures, create corrective measures and then implement them.

Not only does this correct issues, but builds confidence within ourselves.

We have to know we’re not perfect. When we’re down on our luck, we need to take advantage of our situations and understand there is a lesson in all of it. By doing all that, we can become greater wingmen, leaders, and warriors.

Veterans attend Retiree Appreciation Day 2019 Story & photos by Senior Airman Jourdan Barrons 86th Airlift Wing Public Affairs Members of the Kaiserslautern Military Community gathered for Retiree Appreciation Day on Ramstein Air Base, Oct. 22.

The annual event recognizes local U.S. military retirees and ensures they stay informed about the community and retiree programs on base.

According to the Retiree Activities Office, the KMC has a thriving retiree population with approximately 4,000 individuals choosing to remain in the local area after leaving active duty.

“As retirees you mentor Sailors, Soldiers, Airmen, and Marines,” said U.S. Air Force Col. Matt Husemann, 86th Airlift Wing vice commander and guest speaker for the event.

“Today is about you, the retiree, and making sure you’re taken care of.”

Following breakfast, Husemann and Col. Jason Edwards, U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz commander, led a question and answer seminar for the more than 300 attendees.

Various guest speakers then gave briefings on health care, retirement benefits, veteran services and activities.

Lynn Peterson, U.S. Army Retirement Services program manager, elaborated on all the benefits available to retirees.

“It’s our job to make sure you have the resources that you need or to point you in the right direction,” said Peterson. “We provide information about updates to medical care, Social Security benefits and survivor benefit plans.”

Coordinators encouraged everyone to ask questions and receive feedback on things directly affecting retirees. They also included face-toface interactions with base offices like TRICARE. After the official ceremony, retirees visited aircraft static displays, military working dog demonstrations, and engaged with Airmen and Soldiers working on base. Retirees saw how the military is continuously evolving its equipment and capabilities, while current service members received insight on what retirees

experienced while they served.

Activities Office for putting together the event. “It’s just nice to know that we’re still appreciated,” he said.

“Arce is a vital member of the command triad here at the 86th AMXS,” said U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Jeffrey Westerman, 86th AMXS commander. “His office is never empty and sometimes even has a line outside its door with Airmen seeking guidance and direction.”

Westerman sees Arce’s role as a first sergeant as more than just a responsibility.

“I like doing things I care about,” said Arce. “Everything I do, I do because I care about it. I have some investment in the outcome of whatever I do. [Being a first sergeant] is by far the best job I’ve ever had, simply because I am able to help people who aren’t able to help themselves.”

Arce advanced Operation Warm Heart, a local program that provides food and gift cards to more than 300 families throughout the Kaiserslautern Military Community.

“Operation Warm Heart gives back when no one else can,” Arce said. “While many helping agencies can assist Airmen in times of financial crisis, most only provide interestfree loans. Warm Heart works as a grant program. Anyone in need can apply, and then the Warm Heart council makes a decision on how to best help them. Not only will we set them up with budget classes or other assistance, we’ll make sure they have money to pay their bills.”

Arce also implemented a new and automated family care program, which is used by 80 other first sergeants in the KMC. The system allows first sergeants to share information between each other for mili-

November 1, 2019 tary members who require a family care plan, in particular dual-military families. By streamlining and eliminating the extra plan that was often created when service members are in different units, Arce saved countless man-hours. Now, when turnover occurs between an incoming and outgoing first sergeant, the outgoing simply adds and gives privileges to the incoming first sergeant, who then can access and assist dual-military couples whenever they need it.

“Arce’s use of technology has greatly increased the squadron’s visibility on all things in the KMC,” said Westerman. “Some of the resources available in the states don’t exist overseas or there may be latency issues.”

In addition to his technological wonder, Arce personally led a renovation of the Ramstein Airman’s Attic, which provides free gently used clothing and home goods to thousands of enlisted members in the grade of E-5 and below and their families.

According to Arce, the facility was on its last leg before he organized a team of volunteers who changed the store’s layout, moved shelving units, reorganized the store, and cleaned up the designated donation drop-off point.

During the two years since Arce took over the facility, it has had only one non-operating closure.

Westerman added that Arce’s impact on the squadron and the KMC as a whole is immeasurable.

“Being a first sergeant in an overseas location ramps up the need to be even more active and educated on the resource needs of our Airmen,” Arce said. “As with any diamond-wearing senior noncommissioned officer, this is a way of life.”

LRMC Infantryman inducted into the Order of Saint Maurice Story & photos by Alofagia Oney Landstuhl Regional Medical Center It is not every day that a medical organization gets the opportunity to witness extraordinary ceremonies for U.S. Service Members with occupational specialties outside of healthcare delivery. Military leaders of Landstuhl Regional Medical Center recently helped honor U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Jared Smith, an infantryman assigned to LRMC’s Medical Transient Detachment, as he was inducted into the National Infantry Association’s Order of Saint Maurice, Oct. 9.

The Order of Saint Maurice recognizes individuals who have significantly contributed to the infantry in ways that stand out in the eyes of the recipient’s senior leaders, subordinates and peers. The award is categorized into five different levels — Smith received the Legionnaire medal, the highest level of the order he can obtain at his current duty position.

With 15 years of active duty service, Smith, a Minot, North Dakota, native, has seen his fair share of combat and trauma, having deployed twice to Afghanistan and once to Iraq. With over 400 combat patrols and 70 direct fire attacks, Smith’s experience on the battlefield shaped him to fit perfectly within the mission of the MTD at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center.

“The MTD is the only unit of its kind within the Army inventory,” said Command Sgt. Maj. Anthony Forker, the senior enlisted Soldier of the

infantrymen on its cadre, an intentional placement by the U.S. Army Medical Command to help wounded warriors progress in their treatment at LRMC. With the military occupational specialty of 11B infantryman, these 10 Soldiers are the only combat arms warfighters in the hospital’s troop formation.

“Our infantrymen share the same experiences as our patients,” said Capt. Caleb Perkins, commander of

the MTD. “By incorporating infantry Soldiers into our cadre as squad leaders and platoon sergeants, we can provide more compassion, more empathy and better care for the Soldiers, Airmen, Sailors and Marines that come to the hospital.”

During his three-year assignment to the MTD, Smith served as both a squad leader and currently as a platoon sergeant, and has played a critical role in the timely disposition of over 7,000 military personnel either returning to duty in support of theater operations, or redeploying back to the United States for further care.

“Smith is one of our silent professionals,” said Forker. “His ability to train others, his willingness to help and never ask for recognition, and the way he conducts himself outside of work just made it really easy for me to want to nominate him for this award.”

Smith is set to rotate out of Germany in the next several weeks, receiving an assignment to the 3rd Infantry Division at Fort Stewart, Georgia, where he will reunite with his wife, Jennifer, and their children.

“This is a very humbling experience to be recommended and approved for the award,” said Smith. “I’ve been here [without my family] for the last 19 months, and it’s been a very trying time, but a very rewarding time. I want to thank the MTD for supporting me and being there for me when I needed you.”

Smith was also awarded the Meritorious Service Medal for his exceptional service while at LRMC.

Winter driving is coming

Those buying new winter tires in Germany should look for tires having the alpine symbol or the snowflake inside a three-peak mountain.

by Keith Pannell Installation Management Command Europe It won’t be long before drivers in the Rheinland-Pfalz area will be dealing with snow, ice, high winds and less experienced winter drivers.

Winter is coming, and the U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz Safety Office wants to help drivers be the heroes and slay the Ice King.

The No. 1 driving tip the safety office gives is simple: Slow down.

“We get used to driving on the autobahns and back roads at a certain speed when the weather is good

and we fail to reduce that speed when the weather gets bad,” said Todd Clark, USAG RP chief of safety. “That gets us in trouble. In some cases, Americans may not be used to driving in winter conditions and they see the host nation drivers going faster and they try to keep up and get into trouble.”

Clark said driving safely begins before the key is in the ignition.

Drivers need to decide if the trip is really necessary or if it can wait until the storm is over and roads are cleared.

“You have to decide if you feel safe driving in the current weather,” said

Clark. “If you don’t think it’s safe for you to drive to work, call your supervisor.”

Just as important is to clean off the vehicle completely including windows, mirrors and lights. Also, clean snow off the hood, top and trunk so it doesn’t fly off and cause an accident for someone else.

“It starts with an ice scraper,” Clark said. “Other things you might want to have are a small snow shovel, salt or kitty litter, windshield washer that is good below freezing, maybe some extra clothes, a blanket, gloves and other warm apparel in case you get off the road and your car is disabled.”

Proper tires are a hot topic in the cold months. When there is black ice, snow, slush, ice or frost on the roads, German law requires all vehicles, including those with four-wheel drive, to have clearly marked winter, or all-season tires.

“You have to look for the alpine symbol on the tire. If you buy new winter tires, they are required by law to have that snowflake inside a mountain symbol,” said Herb Nold, USAG RP safety officer, adding not having proper winter tires could result in a 60-dollar fine.

measures are taken, accidents could still occur. When they do, military police are called. All drivers whose vehicles are registered within the military system must remain while the military police take information and conduct their initial investigation.

While they do, all parties should get to a safe spot over the barriers or away from the road.

“If you are in an accident, try to get your vehicle to the side of the road. Then, get yourself and passengers over the barrier,” said Nold. “If the accident is in the left lane, try to get between the middle dividers. It’s not uncommon for a disabled car to be hit from behind. But you must be very careful when getting out of the vehicle and getting to safety.”

Above all, garrison leaders say to use common sense and defeat the Ice King.

“Bottom line: Plan ahead and be prepared. Take caution and stay alert,” said Col. Jason Edwards, USAG RP commander. “We cannot afford to lose any soldier, family member, Army professional or member of the Host Nation to a preventable accident. Do not drive above the safety of the road conditions.”

every day is dedicated to a saint. In the Pantheon in Rome, Pope Boniface honored all saints who lived with Christian ideals in all countries of the world. In 1835, Pope Gregor IV moved All Saints Day to Nov. 1.

November is known as the month of remembrance, contemplation and mourning. Protestants remember the dead on “Totensonntag,” Nov. 25. It always falls on the last Sunday before the first Advent Sunday. In 1816, this memorial day was introduced for the first time in Prussia, from where it spread throughout the years to all Protestant regions.

The National Day of Mourning will be observed Nov. 17. It is dedicated to the memory of the dead of World War I and II and the victims of Nazi terror. Wreath-laying ceremonies will take place in Ramstein-Miesenbach and Kaiserslautern.

Another religious, but not legal, holiday is the Day of Prayer and Repentance Nov. 20.

Former engineer officer named Army’s 2019 optometrist of the year

by Marcy Sanchez Landstuhl Regional Medical Center In the early 90s, Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps cadet Adrienne Ari graduated college with a degree in physics. Although she had long desired a medical career, medical school’s course load seemed daunting at the time so she insisted on pursuing a traditional four-year secondary education and began her career as an Army engineer officer.

Ari, now an Army colonel, was recently named the Armed Forces Optometric Society’s Army Optometrist of the Year for 2019.

“My first assignment (as an engineer) was down the road at Karlsruhe, Germany,” said Ari, now Regional Health Command Europe’s optometrist consultant. “I couldn’t see myself doing it for 20 years. Some of it was the timing because of the [Gulf ] War. It was a challenging time for many lieutenants.”

After her obligated tour of service as an Army engineer officer, Ari followed her desires to work in the medical field and transitioned to optometry. Still, Ari had found a home in the Army and a passion for caring for America’s sons and daughters in uniform.

19. Ari was recently selected as the Armed Forces Optometric Society Army Optometrist of the Year.

Each year, AFOS selects a federal employee or service member from each of the five services — Army, Navy, Air Force, Veterans Affairs, and Public Health — to represent their respective service as the optometrist of the year. An additional judging rivals those individuals to select an optometrist that goes on to represent the federal government at the American Optometry Association’s competition which represents over 44,000 doctors of optometry. “[The Army] currently has over 130 active duty optometrists,” said Maj. Jason Hales, chief of optometry at Raymond W. Bliss Army Health

Center, Ft. Huachuca, Arizona. “I was prompted to recognize her when I realized she had never received any type of award from AFOS (or any other optometric association) that I was aware of despite her many years of service to Army optometry.”

While awards and recognition may be important to some professionals, Ari’s service to country, patients and community is the true definition of her professionalism.

“I do what I do not for recognition, but because I enjoy being a part of the community, taking care of patients, mentoring other officers and Soldiers and providing the best care we can provide,” said Ari, a native of Mercerville, New Jersey. “What I really love about our profession is helping patients with vague complaints or long-term issues. You’re able to help diagnose the problem and walk away knowing you helped somebody see better or be more comfortable visually. That is the most rewarding aspect of the profession.”

Selection for the recognition goes beyond patient care and is a culmination of efforts throughout the field of optometry and also evaluates social responsibility and contributions in their communities.

“I admire many things about [Ari],” said Hales, who now serves as the AFOS president and nominated Ari for the recognition. “She is a great human being who cares about the success of others. One thing that inspires me is her ability to be involved and effective in many avenues of life. From motherhood to patient care, administrative responsibilities to Army leadership, she finds a balance and succeeds.”

For Ari, a mother of four who also leads the local Girl Scouts of the United States of America’s overseas committee, service to community is essential to teaching others how to succeed and overcome obstacles. In addition to clinical care, Ari’s involvement in professional organizations, residency programs and even fostering new operational initiatives to support combatant commanders across Europe exemplifies her involvement in the profession resulting in her selection.

“In some ways it’s more rewarding [to be a uniformed optometrist] because what we do is important on the battlefield. Many take vision for granted. But [in combat) your life depends on your [fellow Soldiers’] abilities to see,” said Ari. “What we do is important, it’s rewarding.”

Baumholder tour provides information, strengthens host nation partnerships

Story & photos by Bernd Mai Installation Management Command Europe Public Affairs “The military installation Baumholder has changed quite a bit,” said Alfred Heu, Mayor of Ruschberg, after a recent tour of the U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz Baumholder Military Community, along with 20 other mayors, elected representatives, local officials and community leaders.

BMC Deputy Garrison Manager Jim Bradford invited the host nation guests and local Bundeswehr military leaders from the region to exchange information and strengthen partnerships.

“I am pleased to give you an insight into the current infrastructure of our location today,” Bradford told the participants in his welcome remarks.

Since May of this year, he has been the official representative of the garrison in the BMC. One of the first stops for the visitors from the Baumholder area, and neighboring districts of Kusel, Birkenfeld and the adjacent Saarland, was the renovated indoor swimming pool. On the way to the indoor pool, near the U.S. golf course, Bradford spoke about planned changes at Wetzel Kaserne, where two new schools and additional townhouses are to be built over the next few years.

Earlier this year, 84 new townhouses were officially opened on Smith Barracks. The visitors stopped at one of the homes and Harald Kastner,

head of the Baumholder housing office, led the group through a new townhouse and lauded the Army’s modernization efforts aimed at providing safe, clean and quality housing for Soldiers and families.

“The rumor is circulating in Baumholder that American families should no longer be allowed to rent outside,” said Bernd Alsfasser, mayor of the district of Baumholder, raising a concern for clarification.

“The procedures have not changed,” answered Kastner, allaying that concern. “If no living space is available (on post), Soldiers will be allowed to rent outside the (installation).”

Other stops on the tour included the new BOSS Warrior Zone recreational facility for single Soldiers, the new USO Center and a training simulator.

The visit ended with lunch in the Hard Rock Diner military dining facility, where guests enjoyed a taste of what’s available to Soldiers and were able to share their thoughts with commanders of the local tenant units and their command sergeants major, who joined the tour for open discussion.

“Our goal is to keep not only our military residents but our community and area leaders informed of where we are today and where we are going in the future with respect to services, programs and facility improvements.

We do events and outreach like today to inform but also strengthen our community ties and ensure cooperation across our community,” Bradford concluded.

Did you know you can find a piece of Thailand in the heart of Landstuhl? The family-owned and operated restaurant 9 Chan just opened in July 2019 right on the main road Kaiserstrasse, across from the Stadthalle. This is truly the place to go when it comes to authentic Thai cuisine. When you walk into the restaurant you’ll be greeted with a bright smile from the young owner, Chan. He has several years of experience working in restaurants. His mom owned her own restaurant in Thailand and was the chef there. They have been in Germany for over 10 years now and after running a Thai massage practice, she decided to go back to her roots and start cooking again — her true passion. The space of a former Asian restaurant became available and she and her son teamed up to start a gig of their own.

The name 9 Chan is a combination of the lucky number in Thailand and

the owner’s name — which couldn’t be a better fit for this quaint and cozy location. You feel like you’re a lucky guest at a friend’s house and mama is in the kitchen cooking. The smell of all of the fresh ingredients steaming away on the stove gives you a moment to break away from your stressful day.

And Chan is so friendly and forthcoming, you just want to ask him to join you at your table.

To start off, they decided to keep their à-la-carte menu simple, but still with enough dishes to give you a good variety without too much to look at and decide from. Of course you can find the classics like Pad Thai and Thai Red Curry on the menu. You can even create your signature soup bowl by choosing the type of noodles and fillings you would like. To top it all off, be sure to give the mango dessert a try.

You’ll find a lunch menu with a few of the same great dishes, just a smaller portion and at a discounted price to

make sure you spend around 10 euro total for your lunch and drink; available on weekdays from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Chan and his family are well aware of allergies, like gluten, lactose or nuts, so make sure you let them know when you order and they are more than willing and capable of adjusting your meal accordingly.

As business is growing, they plan on extending their services and offers.

In spring time next year, one of Chan’s cousins from Thailand will be flying over to support the family team and cook as well. She too has great talent and plans on adding more dishes with a variety of fresh fish to the menu or also the much desired spring rolls. In the future, catering and party services are even planned.

Right now you can eat in-house that seats about 45 people or call in and take your order to go.
