Professional Airlift: A team sport by Lt. Col. Jeremy Ponn Commander, 76th Airlift Squadron Just before 1 a.m. (7 p.m. EDT) on Saturday, Oct. 13, a Ramsteinassigned C-37 delivered Andrew Brunson to his first stop on a return trip to the United States. Brunson, a U.S. pastor who lived and ministered in Turkey, had been held by the Turkish judiciary for two years following the attempted coup in 2016. The White House-directed mission, executed on short notice just hours after initial notification, flawlessly demonstrated the 86th Airlift Wing’s ability to provide professional airlift to any country, any time, from the pavement up. Most importantly, it showcased that our airlift mission is truly a team sport. Renee Archambeau 786th Force Support Squadron The U.S. Consulate in Frankfurt and the Ramstein and U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz Passport Offices are scheduled to host a Passport Outreach Day Oct. 24, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at building 2402 on Ramstein Air Base. Your local USO will also be there to support the event by serving refreshments. This event will serve as an outreach to provide the Kaiserslautern and Baumholder Military Communities

with expedited service for passport applications prior to the holidays. Consulate representatives will be on-site to accept tourist passport and consular report of birth-abroad applications. Representatives from the Federal Benefits Unit and Immigrant Visa Section will also be available to answer questions related to social security and immigrant visas.
