Shop around the world at the 53rd Ramstein Bazaar by Rebecca Brokaw Marketing Chair 2017 Ramstein Bazaar It’s time to come shop at the 53rd Ramstein Bazaar! The tent is up, the vendors are checked-in and the hangars are filled to the brim with treasures from around the world. This is the weekend to come out to shop and help support your military community. The Ramstein Bazaar will be open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Plenty of parking on site will make shopping easy. This year the Ramstein Bazaar hosts 130 vendors from all across the globe, including 20 new vendors to shop with. They will have a large variety of goods that will appeal to young and old. Are you looking for new artwork to decorate your walls? We have that. Airmen from all over the 86th Airlift Wing conducted an annual sports and resilience day Sept. 6 on Ramstein. The 2017 Commander’s Challenge included several sporting events such as softball, soccer, basketball, flag football, volleyball, tug-ofwar, a Humvee push, and many others.
Jan Devitt, 86th Airlift Wing community support coordinator, said the Commander’s Challenge, paired with Ramstein’s annual “Mudder” obstacle course, are the Wing’s two resilience day events per year. “We have resilience days to create a sense of belongingness and community,” said Devitt. “It’s fun; you get out of your office, you get to pick the events you’re participat-
