Itʼs Nearly Here! There are now only days to go until the Adventure Eyes Monster Ride! Lists are being written, press releases are being sent and the piles of padded shorts and Ibuprofen products are increasing daily! Thereʼs no getting out of it now! On Monday 8th August, Sian, Emily and Kate from Adventure Eyes will be embarking on their journey to cycle from Landʼs End to John OʼGroats for Mountain Rescue England and Wales. Donations and words of support have started to come in which is fantastic and a huge “thank you” goes out to those of you that have donated already. The itinerary for the trip will soon be available on the Adventure Eyes Blog and there will be regular updates from the team. If you discover that youʼre nearby as they cycle through the country, do come and show your support and if youʼre feeling energetic, why not bring a bike and join them for a section!
Bubbling with Excitement! Not
630miles, 52 sections and 35,000m of ascent! The South West Coast Path Adventure Information was launched this month. Every section now has the crucial details, comments facilities, relevant trail forecasts and quick link ferry checks. There are also three Adventure Information Packs for free download. We will soon be publishing a fourth Information Pack providing featured accommodation providers en route too, so then you literally will have all of the information that you need at your finger tips!
only is the Monster Ride about to get underway but one of the most exciting developments for us at Adventure Eyes is also about to be launched, and being the treasured members that you are, you are the first to know! Once the final tweaks and checks have been made, the flick will be switched and Adventure Eyes will become literally the ʻone stopʼ shop for your Adventure Information.
Shot of the Week is now well underway and thank you to all of you that have entered photos so far, the standard of entries has been very high. So congratulations to the weekly winners so far: Tim Mosedale, Tasha Cresswell and Sandra Bell. Their stunning photos are being displayed on the Photo Competition page on Adventure-Eyes.Com and on the Adventure Eyes Facebook page. There are still nine weekly winners to be selected before the final stage of the competition in which one luck winner will win their choice from a fantastic selection of adventure prizes! Relevant Maps and Guidebooks for the whole of the UK will be available, together with a selection of the finest adventure related books and films. Surfing, kite sports, paddling, climbing, biking, caving, mountaineering, theyʼre all there, from ʻEpic Journeysʼ through to Hollywoodʼs approach to adventure! There are also selected films and books for people who want to learn and develop their skills. These range from guidance on cycling training plans, through to yoga for surfers, through to climbing skills for guides! We will be announcing when the ʻdoors are openʼ on facebook and twitter very soon. So make sure you drop by for a look around and donʼt forget to tell your friends!
Last but not Least... Adventure Eyes is now approaching itʼs six month birthday and itʼs growing stronger each day but that really wouldnʼt be possible without the support of individuals and organisations. So a big “thank you” as ever to all of you who have chosen to be part of Adventure Eyes. We really do appreciate your contributions and support.
