Sunday saw five years of hard work come to fruition, in a sensational performance that also signalled the end of the TRL careers of stalwart forwards Dale Perkins and Ryan Duggan.
It was a tale of two halves on Sunday as the Wattles Warriors A Grade side fought a tightly-contested first half before running away with it in the second against the Gatton Hawks, winning 51 to 20.
Burns returned to Wattles in 2018, where his senior league journey began, taking the club’s top grade team to a grand final only to suffer a loss in the dying moments of the game against the Valleys Roosters.

During the next few months, many Queensland property owners will be conducting hazard reduction burns to reduce the fuel load to minimise the risk to their properties ahead of fire season.
“This is not just very expensive to repair but can also cut power to entire districts for extended periods while repairs are undertaken.”

“In my roles, both with Ergon Energy and also as a volunteer rural firefighter I get to see a lot of examples where fire and electrical assets don’t mix,” Mr Maddy said.
“Even a pole that’s only partially burnt is significantly weakened can snap during high winds or storm activity without warning.”

A major turning point came in Walter’s life when he decided to take up an offer from family friend, Frank Gregory, to be trained as a surveyor on the Darling Downs in the rapidly expanding colony of Queensland.

After six years he attained the rank of 2nd Officer and at 22 years of age looked set for a life at sea.

It seems there had never been any romantic feelings between the two yet after some weeks of consideration she bravely boarded a sailing ship for a three month voyage to Queensland where she married a young Walter Hume.
The brave move to train as a surveyor proved to be a good decision as the demand for land in the Toowoomba region was growing rapidly as new immigrants flooded into the colony attracted by the promise of good farming land and surveyors were in high demand.
The marriage of Katie Fowler to Walter Hume in colonial Queensland in 1866 has some comparison to the Married at First Sight program but without the glamour, scandal and sensationalism.KatieFowler was a 26-years-old woman in England who received a proposal of marriage by letter from a man on the other side of the world whom she had only known as a family friend many years ago.
He appears to have made a conscious decision to propose marriage to a woman coming from a similar family background where religion, a strong work ethic and strong family values wereSomewhereparamount.on the Darling Downs, Walter wrote a letter to Mr and Mrs Charles Fowler of Totteridge House, in Buckinghamshire England, asking for the hand of their fifth daughter, Anna Katherine, in marriage.
