Second supermarket proposed for Drayton

Toowoomba Regional Council has received a development application requesting permission to build another shopping centre at Drayton, including a supermarket, just down the street from the existing complex anchored by Woolworths.

The application was submitted by Capital Transactions Development Management Pty Ltd, a property developer based in Brisbane.

A previous development application to construct a shopping centre consisting of a supermarket and six other shops was approved in 2008, however construction never began and the development permit lapsed.
