Celebrating 20 years of servicing Victoria and beyond in providing tailor-made security solutions to both residential, commercial and industrial clients, Mark and Vicki Liversidge know the vital role that trust plays when clients come to them.

As managing director, Mark stated, “It’s you that clients are really buying when they need security solutions for their property. You can show customers a product and explain to them how it works but really, they’re putting their trust in you. They’re banking on your experience.”

Along with integrating security systems and providing technical solutions to problems in the field, staying ahead of technological innovation is another feature that provides Insight Protection Solutions with its edge in the market, said Mark. With an average shelf life of two to three years, knowing state-of-the-products and gaining manufacturer accreditation on those products is a

must.

“New technology comes mainly through industry groups,” said Mark, having recently returned from the Security Exhibition & Conference in Sydney.

“It is here that manufacturers get together and showcase their latest products. We normally come away from these conventions with three or four really good ideas and we aim to implement these in our business over the next 12 months before the next convention.”

With 20 years of innovation implementation, ongoing training and respect for the importance of trust, Mark and Vicki Liversidge attribute their success and business growth to word of mouth based on providing consistent and excellent service.

MANAGING director of Insight Protection Solutions, Mark Liversidge lives and breathes security.

Aside from holding a deep fascination and professional grasp of innovative and technological advancements in security products, Mark has spent most of his life in the security industry providing excellence in security solutions for large and small clients alike.

Beginning his apprenticeship as a locksmith in Moorabbin at the age of 17, he soon returned to Shepparton where he started the business Integra Locksmith Service with partners Dino and Len Di Bella.

card technology for the first time, that he was blown away by the significance of high-tech advancements for security systems, as Mark stated,“Once I saw my first electronic access controller and access system I was sold. “Following his moment of revelation, Mark undertook training in electronics and became a security technician at ASDIC Security Industries while continuing to build the locksmith business at the same time.

With ASDIC eventually being sold to Chubb Security, Mark continued to develop his professional and technical prowess, later becoming NSW regional manager, and then state manager in Tasmania.

Ensuring the next generation in quality, security expertise

WITH a diverse work history, Vicki Liversidge and her husband Mark began their business, Insight Protection Solutions, in October 2002.

With five children, and a burgeoning business to her credit, Vicki is the security company's hardworking and vivacious office manager. With three upcoming and capable apprentices, Vicki is keen to ensure that the trainees understand the significance of trust that is bestowed upon them

in their role.

Overwhelmingly, however, Vicki is invigorated by the vitality that her young employees bring to the business, as she stated, “With all the young ones coming through, they breathe life into the business. You are training the next generation of technicians which is exciting, and they bring technical edge as well.”

With a growing team of talented apprentices and two new experienced staff members joining the team, Mark employs the philosophy, ‘recruit the attitude and train the skill.’
