A gala event for community art makes its return

SHOWCASING the talents of local artists as well as creatives from around the country, the award winning Tatura Rotary Art Show is set to make its much-awaited return from Friday, June 9 to Monday, June 12 at the superlative Victory Hall in Tatura. Curated by Tatura Rotary Club secretary, Rhonda Rose, the art show will showcase the artistry of painters, ceramicists and photographers from across the nation while also championing the works of exhibitors closer to home.
With over 350 entrants ranging in age and skill from novice to gallery exhibitors, Rhonda said the Art Show’s return after years of Covid promises to be as engaging and enjoyable as ever, in keeping with its ‘Best Community Event Award’ distinction. Featuring all original artworks for sale, the event will begin with a spectacular Gala Opening Night with entertainment provided by Barry Bishop who will delight audiences with toe tapping music from the 50s, 60s and 70s. At just $25 per head, the night will be an event for the senses fusing art, music and delectable hot savouries.

Weekend entry to the show is $5 with children welcomed free of charge while the onsite Gourmet Café, manned by Rotary members, friends and volunteers will keep visitors pleased and content.
The perfect outing to colour any winter weekend the award winning Tatura Rotary Community Art Show at Victory Hall is open from 10am-5pm on Saturday and Sunday, June 10 –11 and from 10am- 2pm on Monday June 12.
The Gala Opening Night is on Friday June 9 and begins at 7pm until 10pm and takes place at Victory Hall, 81 Hogan Street, Tatura.
