Legendary local bakery

SINCE their purchase of the business in 2014, Matt and Kiah Aylett have grown North End Bakehouse into a highly successful bakery that the locals love. The wonderful staff at North End provide exceptional service to everyone who seeks their tasty treats.

The locally owned business is staffed by locals, supplying locals, so you know you’ll get the best care when heading into the scrumptious bakery in North Shepparton.

“We are always keen to try new products and put a special twist on things to make us just that little bit different, but most importantly we provide the best quality products and service that we can,” said owner Matt Aylett first time in one of its infrastructure projects. The drone surveys the riverbank, providing cost savings and eliminating safety risks associated with manual surveying in challenging environments.

The award-winning bakery is known for it’s nationally recognised vanilla slice, as well as pushing the boundaries with ideas for new products and winning major awards such as Australia’s Best Hot Cross Bun in 2021 and 2022, and Most Innovative Hot Cross Bun in 2023.

North End Bakehouse are located at 2 Grant Ct, Shepparton and can be contacted on 5821 0035 and is open Monday-Friday from 7am until 4pm.

The project is expected to be completed during the 2023/2024 financial year and is financially supported by the Goulburn Broken Catchment Management Authority and the Victorian Government's Flood Support Fund.

In the meantime, interim safety measures have been implemented to protect footpath and car park users. Fencing and bollards have been installed, closing off five Aquamoves parking bays and the loading bay closest to the riverbank. The road has also been temporarily relocated further from the bank to reduce risk for vehicles and pedestrians.
