home living Getting your exteriors Spring-ready SPRING is well and truly upon us and if you haven’t already done so, you’re going to want to start entertaining outdoors over the coming weeks. But if you, like many of us, have given your outdoor area the cold shoulder through winter, it’s time to show it some love and get it ready for Spring barbeques, cocktails and dinner parties. Here are some steps you can take to get your outdoor entertaining area looking amazing again. Start with the floor: Be it a balcony, pergola, patio or courtyard, the ground outside is the best place to apply some maintenance first. If you’re working with a deck, you might want to re-coat it with some decking oil. As all decks are different, it’s best to ask a professional and at Paint Place Shepparton the friendly and knowledgeable team can point you in the right direction on the right processes and products to use. Freshen up Exterior: If you’re a fan of colour but haven’t had the courage to use it on your walls indoors, the walls of your garden or courtyard are where you can let your

imagination run wild. A bright feature wall will completely transform your space. A hard wearing exterior paint like Wattyl Solagard Low Sheen is a good idea, it’ll ensure ultimate protection against the harsh, summer sun. Lift your Outdoor Furniture: Timber tables and chairs will also benefit from the use of decking oil, while older wood furniture pieces can be transformed using spray paint. RustOleum sprays are an affordable and stylish way to lift the look of old furniture - and are easy to apply too! Table tops are a great space to be playful and bring in new accessories. Succulents or cacti in terracotta pots are a cute idea and

are as affordable as they are low maintenance. Consider spray painting some of your pots with zesty Spring hues too; it’ll add a whole new dimension to your setting. The outdoor areas of your home need not feel overwhelming, at Paint Place Shepparton the expert team are fully equipped to kit you out with everything you need to execute all of your ideas. For all of your Spring time painting supplies and colour inspiration, call in and see the team at Shepparton Paint Place, 85 Benalla Road, Shepparton, phone 5831 2522 or visit www. paintplace.com.au
