Cream Cheese Christmas Cookies title BY JO MCCLURE

1 1/2 cups sugar 1 cup butter, softened 8 ounces cream cheese, softened 1 egg 1 tsp vanilla 1/2 tsp salt 3 1/4 cups flour 1 tsp baking powder Frosting: 1 cup powdered sugar or sprinkles 2 tablespoons milk

Cream sugar, butter, cream cheese, egg and vanilla in a bowl. Combine flour, baking powder and salt and add to the creamed mixture. Drop a tablespoon of dough onto a cookie sheet and gently press with the back of a spoon to slightly flatten. Bake at 375˚ for 9-11 minutes. Allow to cool. Mix the frosting ingredients together and dip cooled cookies into the glaze and top with colored sugar or sprinkles. Makes about 2 dozen cookies.
