New Generation Academy (NGA) curriculum offers core academic subjects including the English, Kyrgyz and Russian languages as well as Mathematics, History and Sciences. The curriculum is oriented toward the development of critical and analytical thinking. It provides students from Kyrgyzstan, Central Asian republics, Newly Independent States and other countries with the preparation needed to gain admission to AUCA or any other international, Western-style University or college. The NGA Program supports all of AUCA’s other programs and departments. The NGA includes the following components:
To be considered for admission and scholarship to the NGA, applicants will need to submit a written application supported by the requisite information and documentation outlined on the NGA website (www.nga.auca.kg) Each application will be individually reviewed and rated based on evaluation criteria. Candidates who pass the initial screening will be required to • Take a test to assess their proficiency in English • Attend an in-person interview with NGA representatives

Application forms may be downloaded from the NGA Mina Scholarship website. Additionally, application information will be posted in the Ministry of Education School Newspaper that is distributed within the Kyrgyz Republic, American Corners, Education Advisory Centers, UNICEF Youth Centers and at all offices of the micro-finance company, Kompanion. Who can Apply Those eligible to apply and have successfully completed their secondary school education upon admission to the NGA. Studies at the NGA must be conducted on a full time basis.

The NGA Scholarship is sponsored by the Mina Group to help deserving secondary school graduates in Kyrgyzstan gain access to quality higher education on the basis of both academic merit and financial need. Each year the NGA Scholarship Program will award full scholarships to a total of 70 applicants drawn from all seven regions of the Kyrgyz Republic as well as Bishkek to study at the NGA. T he Mina Group will also provide full scholarship funding to 15 graduates of the NGA class of 2012-2013 to enroll in a four-year undergraduate program at the AUCA. The NGA scholarship, worth $5,000 per student, is open to candidates demonstrating both financial need and academic merit. The NGA does not discriminate on the basis of ethnic origin, age, race, color, gender, religion or disability. Persons with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply. Competition for the NGA scholarship award is merit and need-based and open to anyone who meets the following requirements. The Mina Group is committed to the communities in which it serves. In partnering with American University of Central Asia to create the New Generation Academy, The Mina Group is investing $2.5 million dollars in Kyrgyz education and promoting young people's forward mobility. The New Generation Academy is a highlight, but by no means the only investment made by The Mina Group in its pursuit of corporate social responsibility.

AUCA Campus AUCA broke ground on its new, state-of-the-art campus on October 14, 2011. The campus will open for classes in August 2013, and bring world-class design and technology to Central Asia. AUCA wants to give its talented students and professors an open, friendly and safe place to live and pursue academic excellence. The building will be constructed under the shadows of the Ala-Too Mountains, and be the first private, eco-friendly building in the region. What does the scholarship provide? The Mina Group scholarship to the NGA entitles student recipients to: i. Full tuition coverage for one year enrolment at the NGA; ii. Textbooks and necessary academic materials; and iii. Dormitory room during the academic year at the NGA.

Who is eligibility to apply to the NGA scholarship program? The NGA scholarship requirements are as follow: Be a citizen of and reside in Kyrgyzstan at the time of submitting the application; Demonstrate an intermediate level of written and spoken English necessary to fully participate in the NGA; Satisfy the financial need criteria; Have successfully completed their secondary school education upon admission to the NGA; Be able to begin the academic program at the start of academic year August 2012 and maintain enrolment on a full time basis; Submit a complete application by the 3rd of April 2012 deadline in accordance with the requirements set out below.
