Message from the OC Dear Americas Region, it is full of motivation and excitement that AEMPPI Ecuador has the pleasure to invite you to be part of the Sub Regional Training Ecuador 2016. We are aware that capacity building is one of the most important bases of our Federation, so we saw hosting this event as an opportunity to provide a source of trainings to our beloved region and being more involved in the IFMSA by bringing people from all over the Americas to this paradise called Ecuador. Quito is only the beginning of a magical adventure. From the capital you can travel and meet the 4 worlds that Ecuador oers to you. Beaches on the coast, the mountains in the highlands, the biodiversity of the Amazon and the enchanted Galapagos Islands are waiting for you with open arms. Here you will learn to love life.

About AEMPPI Ecuador The Association of Medical Students for Projects and Exchanges, AEMPPI for its acronym in Spanish, is an NGO that represents the medical students from Ecuador, giving them opportunities and resources to improve their medical education.
What is a SRT, Sub-Regional Training ?
A Sub-Regional Training is an international meeting supported by IFMSA, where members and motivated students from a sub region or sometimes even further away can meet and participate in trainings, workshops and small working groups. It has many goals set, such as to motivate participants and make them feel part of the IFMSA, share experiences, projects, and problem solving techniques; deliver training in dierent topics, work together to solve problems, ďŹ nd out ways of collaboration with the rest of the NMOs of the region, provide the members with further information about the IFMSA and the participating NMOs and to enjoy time.

Transportation How to Get There & Away Most people flying into Ecuador take flights directly into Quito’s International Airport (UIO) the outskirts of Quito. Quito is accessible by bus from virtually anywhere in Ecuador. Quito’s location is accessible and convenient for travel throughout Ecuador.
Quito’s International Airport Quito is also home to the newest international airport in Latin America: Quito’s Mariscal Sucre Airport (UIO) about an hour to the east of the city.
VISA No visas are required to visit Ecuador for a period of 90 days per year.
Aeroservicios is a company that offers direct transporta on from Quito to the New Mariscal Sucre International Airport. Buses leave every 30 minutes, 24/7, all year round, without intermediate stops. We have a total of 14 buses, with capacity for 46 and 51 passengers. The bus terminal in Quito is located at the old airport in the former na onal departure area. The ticket price is US$8 per trip, per person. These can be bought through our web page www.aeroservicios.com.ec (only interna onal credit cards). Tickets can also be bought at the terminal of Aeroservicios (old airport) or at the counters located in the Hall of Arrivals at the New Mariscal Sucre Airport. Cash, Credit or Debit cards accepted.
The Municipality of Quito, through the Ministry of Transportation, has organized two bus services to operate from the two main bus terminals in the city: •North of Quito: Terminal Interparroquial, located at Av. Río Coca, •South of Quito: Terminal Interprovincial de Quitumbe The cost of the trip from both terminals to the Quito International Airport is US$2.00. Such fee will decrease from subse- quent stops. In all, there are 11 intermediate stops. Operators that will provide these services are: •From the Terminal Río Coca (north), Consorcio SOTRANOR, with a 14-unit fleet. •From the Terminal Quitumbe (south) Consorcio COSIBO, with a 16-unit fleet.

The Registration for the SRT- will start on May 20. There are three types of registrations process. 1. For the LACMA participants, as you have been previously selected to form the SRT delegation, you have to answer a short questionnaire. 3. For each NMO President, you should answer a questionnaire with the participants you decide will be part of the SRT. Fee For the SRT participants, the fee for the event is 250 USD. These includes: -Accommodation -Meals -Trainings *Transportation from the airport to the hotel is not included.
The fee for the social program is 30 USD.
