A TNT is focused for IFMSA members with the interest of knowing the “how” of a process. Most people with an idea of a project for example know what they want to do and; they might even know why exactly they want to do it. Through non-formal education, the idea is reach the tools of how to do it. In the case of Trainers, at the end of a TNT not only should they have a vast knowledge on that “how”, but, most importantly, they should know how to retransmit that knowledge to participants in a training session. This workshop completely follows the vision of the Federation, aiming to train SCOPHians and others to actively take leadership roles within the field of public health. Moreover, it will train participants in specific things related to IFMSA and Public Health, such as how to involve activities to a program and how to create activities to be in line with programs which present focal points of the Federation.
We as medical students, present current and future health leaders and as such we present a perfect fertile field to grow future competent leaders that will involve themselves in finding solutions to Public Health issues, both in their studies, but also later in life. To initiate the change we must be equipped with right tools and knowledge to successfully lead our fellow medical students, our communities and general population.
