industrial design portfolio
i’ m interested in working on details and get excited about how they change the whole experience. i’m a fresh industrial design graduate, and this is my industrial design portfolio.

user tests conducting user tests, it’s tried to observe usability, physical features and functions carefully and wanted testers to grade the qualities of the product and their reasons are learned. some users were frasturated as they haven’t used such products before. even the instructions on the device wasn’t enough for them. mistakes aren’t corrected until the test finish and they want help. the scenario of using is divided and asked by the testers as different tasks. their knowledge about the device and the place of the test created different insights.
ideation positioning of the cuff to allow to read data of heart rate
tightening of the cuff with one hand
carrying the base and and storing air tube
enhancement
the problems occuring during using the existing blood pressure monitor can be categorized as non-funtional and functional issues. the enhancement areas, then, are narrowed down into four main points: -grabbing base and holding it is not practical, -air jack port and DC port are deceiving, -hands let tangled around arm while putting the cuff, -how to position the cuff on the arm is not clear.
final overall form is changed, using the same language. air jack position is adjusted not to mislead with DC port. port being directed in the sideways, user no longer can hold it with the same hand, measuring.
form enables user to grab it under easily unlike the original, easier to lift and carry.
the graphics are changed to meet to need of left-handeds, as well as improving positioning.
the tightening direction is reversed so that users can easily position and tight by seeing all the new directives.
don’t feel pressure, just measure!

how to play each player select one of the card piles.
the dice decices the first player. the player places the card on a same colored slot, and the game starts.
the color of the new point determines the new player. if the point gets selected more than once, a new connection is made on the ball above. the game grow upwards.
if the structure collapses, the game starts again. all cards and blocks are removed from the base.
the card tells the direction to go with blocks. everyone help each other to build a bridge structure that connects the points.
