H AND S K ETCHES These quick sketches and rendering demonstrate a range of techniques and abilities using marker, pencil, and ink.
H AND S K ETCHES Drawn during my semester abroad, these quick pencil sketches were inspired by Italian architecture and scenery.
H AND R ENDER IN G The conference room of this small oďŹƒce project was first modeled in Google SketchUp and then hand rendered with marker, colored pencil, and ink.
H AND R ENDER IN G The Benjamin Moore Envision Student Design Contest 2010 allowed students to design any type of space using the Envision Color Palette. This lounge uses several colors on dierent planes to demonstrate the versatility of the room and the color palette. Marker, colored pencil, and ink.
CO N STR U CTIO N D O CUM ENTS A complete set of construction documents was created for this small painting studio using Revit Architecture 2011. This furniture plan demonstrated an understanding of tags, schedules, components, and basic documentation.
L IG HTIN G DESIG N This sleek, modern light fixture was designed during my semester abroad in an Introduction to Lighting course. The fixture demonstrated a basic understanding of lighting and a contemporary aesthetic. Google SketchUp and Adobe Photoshop.
F UR NITUR E DESIG N This pinwheel inspired bookshelf/banquette was designed with flexibility and social proxemics in mind. The custom unit was modeled and drafted with Revit Architecture 2012 and rendered using Adobe Photoshop.
F UR NITUR E DESIG N The section of the custom bookshelf/banquette unit demonstrated an understanding for basic mill work construction and attention to detail. This detail was drafted with Revit Architecture 2012.
COM P UTER R ENDER IN G The Film Aid International oďŹƒce space was designed to have an open layout between two floors that aimed to enhance connectedness and camaraderie between the users of the space. This rendering was completed using Google SketchUp and Photoshop.
COM P UTER R ENDER IN G This healthcare facility was modeled with Revit Architecture 2011 and rendered using Kerkythea and Adobe Photoshop. Natural colors and materials created an energetic yet soothing environment while acting as wayfinding cues.
COM P UTER R ENDER IN G The Marketplace Bookstore was designed and modeled with Revit Architecture 2012 and rendered using Adobe Photoshop. The goal of this social interior space was to encourage gathering behavior between the users through careful and thoughtful design analysis.

Th e M a r k et a t M a in St re et E AT | R E AD | ART The Market at Main Street identifies physical characteristics of interior social environments that positively promote gathering beh avior and social interaction.
CO N CEPT The deconstructed pinwheel revolved outward on each corner to illustrate a dynamic evolution of growth, interdependence, openness, and energy. Various degrees of unfolding produced various degrees of open or closed interaction.
SCHEM ATIC S K ETCH The revolving doors not only reflected the pinwheel concept, but also allowed flexibility, openness, and adaptability between interior spaces. This allowed the users to change the space to fit a variety of needs.
P R EDESIG N B UB B LE DI AG R A MS The Market at Main Street consisted of a bookstore, gallery, cafe, and shared space. The goal of the design was to allow the spaces to overlap to maximize usability and flexibility of the space.

R ENDER ED F LO O R P LAN & R CP Folding partitions, revolving doors, and windows maximized permeability between spaces. Varying ceiling heights and materials acted as wayfinding tools while providing acoustic properties. The ghosted white circles represented areas where social proxemics were considered in the design. ENLAR G ED GAL LER Y F LO O R P LAN The gallery featured a moveable ottoman that aimed to allow visitors to comfortably experience the gallery from various perspectives. The revolving doors transformed the private space into an exclusive area or an open extension of the main gallery. The adjustability widened the opportunity for various activities to take place.
ENLAR G ED GAL LER Y R CP Varying ceiling heights and materials highlighted artwork while adding a unique visual element to the space. Appropriate lighting for artwork and displays was essential for the success of the space. Suspended track systems with adjustable fixtures were incorperated to maximum compatibility for the use of the space.
B UIL DIN G S E CTIO N The bookstore (left) and gallery (right) were designed to be physically separated, however, windows between the space visually connected the two spaces. Permeable interiors that overlap with adjacent spaces aimed to encourage curious onlookers to interact with the place and the people of that place.

S E CTIO N AT CUSTOM DISP LAY TAB LE The custom display table acted as a storage unit and display unit. Storage would increase the flexibility of the space and create opportunities for various activities to occur.

CUSTOM DISP LAY TAB LE Furniture comfort is a key component to enjoying social space. Moveable chairs are a desired form of seating due to the choice, flexibility, and comfort they oer. Creating the opportunity for controlling and customizing the physical environment aimed to improve an individuals experience of the gallery space.
F INISH SCHEM E Warm tones, such as burgundy inspire energy, motivate action, and excite the human emotions. Splashes of golden orange ignite feelings of happiness and social connectivity. Earth tones, texture, and a contemporary fixtures made this a sophisticated scheme.

LO B BY R ENDER IN G The purpose of this rendering was to create an attractive, contemporary lobby entrance and lounge space to attract potential business tenants in this three-story oďŹƒce building.

CLUB H O US E LO UN G E The clubhouse at the Fresh Pond Residences accommodates a cafe, leasing oďŹƒces, lounge, games room, small theatre, fitness center, rooftop lounge, and several touch-down areas. The rendering above illustrates the contemporary design aesthetic. This housing project, among several others, improved my overall design and teamwork skills.
CO N STR U CTIO N D O CUM ENTS These technical CAD drawings were a typical example among construction documents submitted for interior housing projects. The drawings were drafted in Bentley Microstation.
SPACE P LANNIN G This fitness center renovation was an example of conceptual space planning. The goal of the layout was to create a dynamic space that compliments the “ebb and flow� of an active environment. The drawing was drafted in Bentley Microstation.
P R ES ENTATIO N These materials, fixtures, and furnishing were labeled in the rendered floor plan to help the client further understand the design for this small clubhouse renovation. This example was created with Adobe Photoshop.
