Page 4 Blacktown Day Programs van experienced a huge makeover recently showing off the new look Afford colourful logo and design. As the NDIS grows nearer, we think that having a number of eye catchers such as this driving on the roads of our Sydney suburbs, will create more awareness toward our company and excite people to come in and see the great services we can provide them and their families. All staff who have witnessed the van couldn’t help but look on with amazement at the new range of colours and designs, eager to see more of these colourful vans driving around in the future. This is one of many exciting things coming to Afford as we transition to our new branding and look forward to providing further products showcasing how creative and innovative we are as a company at Afford.

After the success of almost fifteen years operating at our Lakemba Day Program the increasing demand for quality service outgrew the site, creating the opportunity to move to a new building in Belmore. There was an overwhelming response in support of this site with a large number of people in attendance including staff and family members of our clients, joined by the NSW Government Minister for Disability Services, John Ajaka, and Mayor of the City of Canterbury, Brian Robson. Everyone who attended had a great time sharing laughs over a nice spread of delicious treats and drinks.
Afford Find Success On The Road
If you had the power what would you change about the world: No more war, no more violence and world peace What is the nicest thing someone has ever done for you: My families endless support If you had to teach something what would you teach: We are all one Something no one knows about me: Bananas make me sick
Recently Afford received a great response at the first of many NDIS preplanning sessions, informing family members about the new process and how we at Afford can provide and assist them with the best service. The session included an informative presentation from Steve Herald and Angela Wilkinson, a handout pack which contains a run down on the NDIS and our services followed by a Q&A for clients and family members. Everyone who participated had a great time learning about the NDIS, family members stated “The presentation was very well delivered. Plenty of opportunity to ask questions, all aspects were well covered and explained. The handout pack is extremely helpful to take away and start working on. Congratulations to everyone involved making the session a success and we look forward to many more to come!
