Rewarding Service With A Smile

In this Issue Page 1 •Rewarding Service With A Smile

We would like to congratulate the following Staff members who have successfully gone above and beyond for their clients and won this month’s customer service awards. First prize winner was Cristina Alvarez, Team Leader, Call Centre. Her dedication to make budget for her first raffle as Team Leader; motivating the team every day, overcoming IT issues and stresses, managing staff and taking over as Team Leader all in her stride and with a smile. CThe Call Centre now is a different environment; positive, bubbling along and the results are fantastic. Cristina is leading by example, shows true passion and determination and is working to such a high standard she’s even dreaming about work. Second Prize winner, Emma Roache, Raffles Administrator. Emma is a vibrant and happy member of the team, who fits in well with everyone and who goes above and beyond in her daily duties to assist the telemarketers and Cristina (Team Leader) as required. Equal Third Prize winners were, Kim Snell, Lifestyle Assistant, Chipping Norton and Enamul Mazumder, Lifestyle Assistant, Ashfield. Enamul: With all the chaos happening at Ashfield, not once has he complained about anything; completes whatever task is asked of him. He shows a lot of initiative; always proactive, thinking ahead. He comes in early, sorts out the storage room, makes sure we are stocked and never running out of anything. He’s always the one to help out another staff member if they are finding it hard with clients with behaviours. When he is on the floor you know things will get done, even if short-staffed. Kim: She is always working hard to ensure all the clients have a good experience. She put her fear of snakes out of the way to go on camp with one of our clients. She put her hand up and went, wanting the client to have the best experience imaginable. It’s shown us that there are staff out there that will put all their worries behind and put their lives on hold to enhance the experiences of those who haven’t been given the opportunity to do things as often as the rest of us. Also we would like to congratulate Sara Page, Employment Consultant, DES Liverpool on winning the DES Above & Beyond Award. Sara always makes herself available to see customers, even if they are not her own. She spends the same amount of time with them as she would with her own clients and completes any follow-up on their behalf before passing the information on to the owning Employment Consultant.

Happy Birthday Carol! Recently staff at our Guildford Day Program got dressed up and headed to Guildford County Soccer Club to celebrate staff member, Carol El-Achi, turning 21 years old. Guildford staff members had a great time celebrating with Carol’s friends and family in a jam-packed evening including lots of delicious food, dancing, drinks and even more dancing. Later in the night Carol was treated to a lovely surprise when a Lebanese drummer performed on stage getting everyone up on the dance floor having a wonderful time. We would like to wish Carol a very Happy 21st birthday and we hope to share many more birthdays with you in further years to come!
