Recently Afford held its Annual Golf Day at Twin Creeks Golf Club at Luddenham. Besides being blessed with beautiful weather this year’s golf day was made very special as we were able to showcase our new Afford branding to a wide range of sponsors who were blown away by the bright colours and new logo. The jam pact day featured a number of fun events including an exhibition from long drive champion Mark Bylsma, 18 holes of golf involving a special survival ball and a very fun ball station hole, a delicious lunch, raffles, silent auction followed by the trophy presentation. With the growing reputation and beautiful weather attracting a large number of businesses from across the Western Sydney region Afford were able to raise over $45,000, which all goes towards our great programs such as Transition to Retirement and to provide special extras for our Lifestyle Centres. This is the ninth year the Annual Afford Golf Day has taken place and it wouldn’t be possible without months of work from Rhiannon O’Brien and Toni Preston, who are assisted every year by fantastic volunteers, Terry O’Brien, Ray Thomas, Rob Richards and a handful of staff. Well done to everyone and we look forward to see the fun installed for next year!
