Afford Bringing Carers Together
On the first of 1 July 2016, 14 Carers from Green Valley Lifestyle Centre enjoyed dinner at a local Restaurant. The hot topic for the evening was of course NDIS.

Carers who had been through the NDIA process shared their stories and encouraged each other to be prepared and take as much information as possible to the meeting. Within the of carers group, was a NDIA planner, who shared her passion for the NDIA as an employee but more importantly as a Carer and dreams that her daughter will obtain all the services she requires through NDIS. Congratulations to all the staff at Green Valley Lifestyle Centre; it was reported by one of the mums on the evening; when her daughter was asked if she was happy at her day program by NDIA Planner, the client said YES and she requested to attend more days ( currently attends 3 days per week), what a wonderful result. Connecting with our clients and their carers will definitely provide Afford Great Success with the NDIS.

Building Brighter Futures For Residents The construction of new group homes for up to 40 residents on three sites in Penrith are reaching the final stages of completion. Three out of 6 group homes are developing very quickly with the finishing touches on the outside getting done and the installation of bathrooms, kitchens and bedroom wall paintings in the bright colours to match our new branding getting started. Having graduated from their Active Independence training module, the clients are excited for the completion of their new homes to put their new skills to practice. Residents and their families have had a lot of fun being heavily involved in all stages of the project so far, including interior designs and colours, ensuring the clients are satisfied and their needs are comfortably met. The devolution of the Cherrywood Village has been planned for many years and all involved are very excited to see the homes coming along.
