On 2nd December Afford staff held the Client Christmas Party, where we also celebrated International Day of People with Disability. Our clients enjoyed a fun-filled day with a visit from Santa and Mrs. Clause and Cricket NSW. The day also featured fun activities including air brush tattoos, Zumba, Rugby league activity, a game of football (soccer), mini golf and a disco! A big congratulations goes Rhiannon O’Brien and all staff involved for their tireless work making it a jolly Christmas celebration to remember for our clients.

A Fete Everyone Can Afford

Afford recently held the Cherrywood Spring Fete at Cherrywood village to raise funds for our clients as we approach Christmas. Although the event was rescheduled due to bad weather, the fete proved to be a success. Everyone who attended had a great time in a fun filled day which included a wide range of activities such as pony rides, face painting, build a bear, thrill rides, vintage cars, raffles and over 50 stalls full of delicious food and handy presents to give loved ones for Christmas. We would like to give a big congratulations to all the staff involved in making it such a fun filled day for everyone who attended on such short notice. Well done guys.

Wet ‘N’ Wild At Ashfield Last Friday morning six clients who could not attend the Client Christmas party arrived at Ashfield Lifestyle Centre, and found a surprise pool party in the back yard! Those who were in a less aquatic frame of mind could still enjoy the music and entertainment, including arts and crafts activities indoors. Other clients had a wonderful time in the back yard, splashing around in the pool, chatting or just chilling in the shade. And of course, no party is complete without chips, nuggets, pies and all sorts of fun finger foods! At the end of the day everyone went home happy and content (and probably a bit sleepy from all that fun in the sun), having their own special bonding day.
