Apologize for every color in the rainbow? Hell No! Apologize for being children of God? Never! Apologize for individual di erences in skin-tone? Hell No! Apologize for being captured and surviving the dehumanization of slavery, with the help of some Godfearing Whites? Hell No! Apologize for being forced to build the infrastructure of American society as free slave labor. Hell No! Apologize for not receiving forty acres and a mule, because a racist blew Abraham Lincoln’s brains out of his head? Hell No! Apologize for the many scienti c inventions that made human life more human? Hell No! Apologize for being the rst to die in the Revolutionary War, and serving in every War since? Hell
No! Apologize for remembering the blueprints for e White House, never spiritually imaging that one day a Black man, and his family would reside in it, by the name of Barack Obama? Hell No! Apologize for President Biden selecting Kamala Harris as his VP, and supporting her as the rst female VicePresident? Hell No! Apologize for the boldness of President Lyndon Johnson and MLK, Jr. for being instrumental in passing the Civil Rights and Voting Rights Bills? Hell No! America, I apologize and pray for some White Americans in high political positions for being foolish, and not having a God conscience, because they desire to exclude. e dictionary de nition of impossible is that it cannot be done. However, spiritually we all know that all things are possible with God, and there is nothing impossible with God. America, the element of prayer must be in the forefront of everything we seek to accomplish, because prayer is internal self-introspection: “ erefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye have them.” (Mark 11: 24). Most Americans had no earthly idea that e GOP with its malice of forethought towards a multicultural democratic society would become the inspirational birth of the rst female President! Hal-
lelujah and praise God. e ungodly rhetoric of the GOP, and the Trump MAGA Cult against Biden convinced some prominent Democrats that President Biden could not be reelected, and they submerged themselves in the ungodly political garbage. What a shame! However, we all know that nothing is impossible for God. America, the reason nothing is impossible for God is, because: “my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever Amen.” (Philippians 4: 19-20). Vice President Harris is the perfect Presidential candidate to prosecute the criminal case against Donald J. Trump’s Presidential candidacy. Trump has a convicted bold ungodly criminal mind, and Vice President Harris is a seasoned prosecutor. Most of all, what defeats devilish exclusive ideas are Godly inclusive ideas.

Feeling like too many people missed out on Schoolhouse Rock’s “I’m Just a Bill” or Yellow Pain’s rap on the branches of government? Here’s a refresher on how our government works and why your vote is vital in shaping our lives, especially in light of recent events in Texas. There are three branches of government: Executive, Legislative, and Judicial. The Executive Branch, including the President, governors, and mayors, is responsible for enforcing laws and managing public affairs. The Legislative
Branch, comprising Senators, Congress members, and City Councils, creates laws that impact our daily lives, from social security benefits to healthcare. The Judicial Branch, which includes the Supreme Court, interprets laws and ensures they are constitutional.
A lot of anger is often aimed at the President and local officials like the mayor and governor. However, they don’t create laws; they enforce them. For change to happen, it’s essential to pay attention to the Legislative Branch. Legislators make decisions on vital issues such as healthcare, education, and economic policies (rules that influence the economy, like taxes and government spending). For example, they decide on social security benefits, maternal health policies (critical because Black women face alarmingly high
“We Africans in America have been socially engineered to reject our past, and far too many of us live in a state of suspended animation. We deny the historical realities confronting us daily. Too many of us mistakenly believe that the past has no bearing on the present and is unrelated to the future. Thus, we have been conditioned to live our lives disconnected from cultural values, principles, and ideals - essential for peaceful living.”

“Every single important woman” in Alexis Smith’s life has been a ected by domestic violence, including herself. At age 14 she became trapped in the same similar cycle of abuse and despair that she won victory over several years ago. “It’s something that I’m still experiencing and dealing with today.”
It’s something she will experience and deal with for the rest of her life.
“He wanted full control over how I utilized my time, who I’m spending my time with.” She said the unrelenting emotional abuse poisoned their relationship, and it damaged the way she related to her close supporters.
June 8, 2024, was “not a normal day” for Ms. Smith, 25, an ICU nurse. It was the day she competed against over two dozen other sparkling beauties to be crowned Miss Kansas, only the third Black woman to earn that honor. It was the day the man she was still trying to heal from tried to intimidate and break her again by his unwelcomed presence in the audience. is was her day. It did not end as victoriously for him.
In her interview Ms. Smith unhesitatingly declared her goal as Miss Kansas would be to “eliminate unhealthy and abusive relationships.” en she made a stunning announce-
ment: “Some of you out in this audience saw me very emotional, because my abuser is here today, but that’s not going to stop me from being on this Miss Kansas stage and representing as the next Miss Kansas,” she continued. “I and my community deserve healthy relationships. We deserve a domestic [violence]-free life.” And she meant it.
Ms. Smith later emphasized to People magazine, “As Miss Kansas, my platform is deeply rooted in empowering people to break free from cycles of domestic violence and unhealthy relationships. My answer on stage re ects my commitment to fostering a world where every individual feels safe, valued, and empowered to thrive.” She continued, “ rough the Miss America program, I have found a powerful platform to amplify my voice and advocate for those who may feel silenced or alone,” Smith adds. “I will use my story as a catalyst for change kicking open doors to inspire others and create a society where everyone can live free from fear and abuse.”
One way she uses her voice is as a ventriloquist. She takes pride in
creating ventriloquism dolls that have di erent personalities, all of whom demonstrate di erent characteristics of healthy relationships.” Her ambition is to is “to open the conversation of healthy, unhealthy, and abusive relationships” with vulnerable kids.
e requirements of a beauty queen are multiple and challenging.
ey must be lovely, intelligent, and generously talented. And sometimes they are called upon to be tough and courageous.
Alexis Smith will represent Kansas at the next Miss America competition in Jan. 2025.
If you are experiencing domestic violence, call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233, or go to thehotline.org. All calls are toll-free and con dential. e hotline is available 24/7 in more than 170 languages.
take an oath to a Godcentered document that declares that all men are created equal. John, the Revelator, makes it crystally clear: “ ou art worthy O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” (Revelation 4:11).
Malnutrition of the brain is a deadly disease, because it produces irrationality. Scientically racial categories are gments of demented mentalities and devilish imaginations. Biologically the di erences in socalled racial designations are minute. Hence, dening life on the bases of external physical factors creates untold societal confusion, because what kind of life do we have, if we do not have life in peace, togetherness, and social harmony. However, as an empirical reminder, the oldest human skeletal remains (6,000 years old) Lucy’s remains were discovered in Africa, not Europe. Scienti cally, we learned in art classes that you can derive all colors on the color-scheme from Black, but only white can be derived from white. erefore, the GOP’s attempt to de ne the Presidential candidacy of VP Kamala Harris as Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) is the epitome of lack of
God conscience. Individuals who truly feel that they are intellectually superior to other human beings have absolutely no rationale for institutionalizing racism and socio-economic discrimination. Open competition ought to be the basis for leadership moral order. us, the foundation of racism comes out of a sense of inferiority, rather than superiority. Physically forcing others to work for you goes against God’s spiritual decree: “in the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground: for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.” (Genesis 3: 19). Hence, no work, no eating. erefore, an open competitive system is the spiritual-moral ideal, not institutionalized racism. Secular government is of the people, by the people, and for the people. Black people as well as all other socalled racial/ ethnic
groups have absolutely no reason (s) to apologize to Whites for their skin-tone, because with God it is about sin, not skin. America’s Founders created inclusive governing documents, but they could not live by the spiritual-moral tenets themselves. e Founders owned slaves, and most of all, they desired something for nothing. President Biden’s decision to not seek reelection, and his Godly endorsement of VP Kamala Harris has brought America to a spiritual high-water mark in our pursuit to be a Godly democratic multi-cultural inclusive society. America, now is the time to fully embrace multi-cultural democracy, not just talk about democracy, but be about democracy. God is an inclusive God. e 2024 Presidential election is a spiritual moral test, because we have a choice between: Prosecutor versus Criminal, and good versus evil.
A party platform is a document produced by a political party every four years (prior to each presidential election) that sets forth that party’s beliefs and values as well as its policy positions on important issues of the day. While a platform addresses dozens of issues and sets forth that party’s vision for America, this booklet has compiled the position of the two major parties only on civil rights and racial justice issues – a subject at the forefront of American policy debates for decades.

All e orts by abolitionists . . . to interfere with questions of slavery . . . are calculated to lead to the most alarming and dangerous consequences and . . . have an inevitable tendency to diminish the happiness of the people and endanger the stability and permanency of the union.

[We support] non-interference by Congress with slavery in state and territory, or in the District of Columbia [i.e., we oppose all congressional attempts to abolish slavery in any area of the nation].
† In the years preceding this platform, numerous occasions had arisen in Congress in which proslavery forces sought to extend slavery and antislavery forces sought to prohibit it. For example, in 1820, the Democratic Congress passed the Missouri Compromise. at law rst repealed the provisions of the original 1789 anti-slavery law forbidding the extension of slavery into any federal territory, and then authorized the extension of slavery into new federal territories. Founding Fathers still alive at that time – including John Adams, omas Je erson, and Rufus King – loudly denounced the Missouri Compromise and the expansion of slavery. Subsequently, John Quincy Adams and Daniel Webster became congressional leaders in opposing slavery while those such as John C. Calhoun fought aggressively to strengthen and expand it. is plank in the Democratic platform condemned the e orts of abolitionists such as John Quincy Adams (a member of Congress at that time, and titled the hell-hound of abolition for his e orts against slavery), asserting that the end of slavery would not only reduce the happiness of America but would also lead to its destruction.
e Democrats and Republicans platform declarations on this subject that appear in this booklet commence with the year 1840 and continue until the 1964 platform immediately preceding the creation and passage of the three major landmark civil rights measures in 1964 and 1965: the 24th amendment abolishing the poll tax, the 1964 Civil Rights Act, and the 1965 Voting Rights Act. ese civil rights declarations reveal how, or whether, the parties

† In May 1854, the Democratic-controlled Congress passed the Kansas-Nebraska Act, extending slavery into federal territories where it had previously been forbidden, thus increasing the national area in which slavery would be permitted. is law led to what was called “bleeding Kansas,” where pro-slavery forces came pouring into the territory and fought violent battles against the anti-slavery inhabitants of that territory. Following the passage of this pro-slavery law, a number of the anti-slavery Democrats in Congress – along with anti-slavery members from other political parties, including the Whigs, Free-Soilers,

childbirth mortality rates), decriminalization of marijuana, and funding for schools in minority communities.
The recent U.S. Supreme Court decision in Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo overturned the 40-year-old practice of deferring to agencies’ reasonable interpretations of ambiguous federal laws. This means agencies like the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) may now have less power to enforce regulations. Companies, including those that have contributed millions to Supreme Court justices, could have more influence over decisions that were once guided by expert agencies. This is a significant shift, potentially affecting how environmental and public health policies are enforced.
In Texas, the local government delayed requests for disaster relief funding, leaving millions without electricity. Meanwhile, Governor Abbott, elected multiple times to a position without term limits, was out of the country. His appointee, Dan Patrick, also took his time responding. Policies and procedures are in place to handle such crises, yet local government actions have repeatedly shown inadequacies during national disasters, winter storms, hurricanes, and power grid failures.
Did you call the governor, mayor, or your congressman to complain? Applying pressure is crucial. When disaster strikes, and you’re left without power, food spoiling, and no assistance in sight, it becomes personal. These elected officials need to feel the pressure from their constituents to act promptly and efficiently.
It’s your responsibility to know your representatives. You can find your city council person or state representative easily online. Call them, email them, and let them know your concerns.
