Introduced Zumba session for both locals and volunteers! Partnered with a local restaurant to offer an amazing new cultural experience for volunteers get to try local foods.
We introduced a 10-week ‘Health Club’ at a local school, where volunteers taught the assigned curriculum.
•
This included workshops on both physical and mental health.
•
64 children participated and at the end they each received certificates of attendance.
•
We’ve had such great medical volunteers who assisted and observed in various departments at the hospital and health facility.
•
They've been of assistance at the antenatal clinic, observed surgeries (major and minor), assisted delivering babies, dispensed medication and been involved in basic triage.
•
As most of our health facilities are understaffed, volunteers always come in handy to assist, under the guidance of qualified staff.
“Volunteering in Kenya is an unforgettable experience. Not only will you get experience in the field, but you are provided time to explore the country and broaden your horizons. Come to project with an open mind, a positive attitude and an eagerness to help and your experience will be amazing!”
