We have welcomed Malene to our African Impact Zululand family as our new Project Manager Two groups of students from the University of Michigan joined our projects, with a total of 28 students! We had the largest range in ages on project ever - from a 9-year old to a 72-year old!

Students in all four creches that we visited these last months have shown great improvement. From a 7% increase in knowledge of numbers, colors and shapes in Khulanomatiya to an incredible 18% increase in Rising Stars.

16 students have received a Reading Club certificate these last few months. One of our students has read an incredible 30 books. She is the first to receive the ‘gold’ certificate for her hard work.

During their autumn break students continued learning by visiting our Holiday Clubs. On average 20 students joined volunteers for sports, learning and crafts during their break.

Volunteers have assisted more than 1,787 patients at the Khula and Ezwenelisha Clinic as well as the Homeopathy Clinic by checking their vital signs such as blood pressure and temperature.

Across all the clinics in which we work, volunteers have delivered 46 sessions on various health related topics such as tuberculosis, healthy diets and high blood pressure.

We made 73 and 92 visits to our home-based care and wound care patients respectively providing them with support and care.
