Easy materials handling…not crane dependent…cleaner site… We have used AFS LOGICWALL® on our Playfield St, Chermside project predominantly for its speed of construction and materials handling efficiencies. The lightweight nature of the product enables easy handling means it is not crane dependent, and less wastage makes for a cleaner site. The overall finish of the product, which doesn’t require over-sheeting, is also an extremely attractive benefit. We’ll continue to use AFS on future projects. Saves time…cleaner site
This is the second time we have used AFS. The building was designed from the get-go to use the AFS system for the walls between apartments and the lift shaft walls. We like the ease of installation and the good acoustic qualities of a solid, concrete core-filled wall. Further, the wall finish is already in place which saves time and the AFS system leads to a cleaner construction site.

Work finished ahead of program
Our structural experience with AFS LOGICWALL® was good during the design stage when various construction options were investigated with Toga Group (the developer builder). The available technical design data and support was most useful in assisting the design and documentation. Toga finalized negotiations with AFS as the preferred loadbearing system for the advantages of overall construction speed in conjunction with the pre-stressed floor structure, and the reduction in slab thicknesses using one way slab design in some areas instead of two way flat plate. Just wanted to say a big ‘thank you’ on the use of the AFS walling system for the IVY Project. As a first time user, it’s great to see the ease of availability, as well as its constructing method. Chase Building Group (ACT) decided to look at using the AFS 162 wall system as part of the IVY Projects party wall for its fire and sound rating requirements. Once the wall was installed by the formwork contractor and then the final end product finished by the internal trades, I can truly say what a great product as the finish is unbelievable. I would highly recommend the use of the AFS wall system to anyone as [there] is a product out that really helps builders achieve speed and safety with minimal fuss.
