RITTER PEN uses natural, completely biodegradable cellulose â&#x20AC;&#x201C;base / bio-plastic for the production of our ECO-LINE. Also in high gloss transparent finish!

The most important part of this plastic is the cellulose. Cellulose is a natural polymer that forms the main component of a plant cell wall.

Wood, for example, are rich in cellulose and serve as a starting material for the production of used material.

In a special procurement and treatment process cellulose acetate, a thermoplastic material can be derived from cellulose. Care is taken that the origin of the raw materials making this bio-plastic predominant of renewable resources.

The pens in our ECO-LINE contain a large percentage of this natural bio-plastic. To ensure exceptional structural integrity a small amount of traditional ABS materials are used for the components that are exposed to high mechanical stress. Unlike corn starch or lactic acid products, cellulose acetate is scratch and heat resistant. It has similar performance characteristics as conventional plastics and is particularly suitable for mold injecting. Due to the nature of the material it is limited to a natural color selection, however this organic compound possess a higher density than ABS plastic, which gives it a richer quality and a perfect surface for colorful and vibrant imprints. Without leaving harmful residues bio-plastics can be decomposed by microorganisms leaving behind only water, carbon, and some biomass. Permanent higher temperatures and adequate moisture are prerequisite for an optimal decomposition; similar conditions that

prevail in industrial composting. The biodegradability of this material on an industrial scale is confirmed in accordance with the terms of DIN EN 13432:2000-12. Disposal of this bio-plastic is via the general household waste, contributing to the conservation of finite fossil fuels through thermal treatment. It releases the same amount of emissions generated by burning or composting of raw material (e.g. wood). There is no general regulation, which governs the recycling of plastics, therefore, we maintain a proper thermal treatment as the most sensible solution to dispose of bio-plastics. Replacing oil as a raw material with a renewable raw material source allows the saving of fossil resources and a reduction of CO2 emissions. The development and processing of recyclable plastics, of course, is a step towards a more sustainable future. We must learn to give up finite resources - to love our environment.

If there is no price on the Purchase Order, standard catalog pricing will be used. Changes to orders must be submitted in written form referencing purchase order number. Courier Shipments To ensure safe delivery by parcel carriers (UPS, Fedex etc), additional packaging is required. $6.00 (G) per shipping carton will be added to the invoice.

Skid Shipments Where economical, larger orders will be packed and shrinkwrapped on a skid for maximum protection. $20.00 (G) per skid will be added to the invoice. Split Shipments When an order is shipped to 2 or more destinations at the same time, a Split Shipment charge of $8.00 (G) per shipment will apply. Freight Charges not included. Returns A request for a return for credit or refund must be in writing, state the specific reason for the return and submit it within 30 calendar days of the invoice. Factory must approve all returns in writing. Refusing, abandoning or sending back a shipment without factory approval does not constitute an approval by factory. When approved, returned products must be in the same condition as when they left the factory and the credit/refund will only be for the quantity returned. Contact a customer service representative for a return authorization number.
