AREA PROFILE
Rosscarrock is a residential neighbourhood in the southwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is bounded to the north by Bow Trail to the east by 33 Street W, to the south by 17 Avenue S and to the west by 45 Street W. The Westbrook Mall is located in the northeast corner of the neighbourhood, and it is bordered by the Shaganappi golf course. The area is in close proximity to downtown Calgary via Bow Trail SW and also has great access to major transport routes and local transportation. The Westbrook LRT station is located here. This station is one of the city newest, largest and most architecturally appealing stations. Other major transport routes include Bow Trail SW, Sarcee Trail SW, and 17th Ave SW. The area is rich with amenities. There are lots of restaurants and shops along 17th Ave SW, all in walking distance from the community. To the north, you will find Edworthy Park, which is frequently visited by locals daily. This park has spectacular city views, great walking and biking trails, access to the Bow River, where you will surely see boating and river rafting, and some playgrounds, picnic areas and gathering spaces. The Westbrook Mall is the main mall in the area and is located along Bow Trail and 33rd St SW. This mall has many of the popular retailers such as Sport Chek, Mark’s and Walmart.
