What is good mental health? Mental health (or mental wellbeing) describes how someone feels and how well they cope with day-to-day life. Mental wellbeing can change from day to day, month to month or year to year. If someone has good mental wellbeing they are able to: • • • • • •

express a range of emotions engage with the world around them build and maintain positive relationships with other people be part of their community cope with the stresses of daily life manage times of change and uncertainty.
