FINAL BACHELOR THESIS (PROJECT)

PROPOSALS FOR A DETAILED PLAN FOR THE NORTHERN ENTRY AREA OF TRAKAI

Object of work - Trakai Northern Entrance. Problems - chaotic urbanization, no formed access to the Lake Galve, nonurbanized peak of the mountains, disorderly building, lack of public spaces. The aim of the work is the formation of th epublic space system of Lake Galve. Territorial analysis has led to the development of problems in the area and possibilities of territory management: reconstructing the Olympic Sports Center, forming a new system of public spaces, forming new directions and flows connecting the islands of Lake Galve withe the quay, arranging the transport system, moving the parking lot behind the mountain, reducing vechicles streams on Karaimu street. Identified problems are solved by the creation of various types of urban space system, its integration into urban fabric by psysical and visual (spatial channels, visual links, accents) means. The detailed territory is located in the northern part of the Galve lake, where public buildings are designed. The solution is governed by a detailed plan.

02 TRAKAI REGENERATION PROJECT

The project area is located in Trakai, on which the Galves Lake is surrounded on the narrow sides. The eastern east of the west stretches along the Karaimu street and in the western part of the road is the main road in the vertical direction. The study area is located in the central part of the city, and it includes an important attraction object - the Olympic Sports Center. There is also a hilly relief that opens the most beautiful images of the main city objects. As the territory has a great diversity of landscapes, there are important cultural heritage sites, but there is no industry and the land is infertile, the number of the population of the poor due to negative natural growth and migration, therefore: District Municipality should take the initiative to focus on the eforts of all the institutions operating in the area to systematically develop tourism in the Trakai district, because the rich and valuable Trakai district cultural heritage is very suitable for educational programs, thematic excursions, individual and occasional visitors and visitor groups. Specializing in district cities and areas and prioritizing them, creating jobs, thus attracting not only tourists but also creating conditions for the development of local activities for local people. The area has excellent facilities for raising the quality of human resources. Project Task: When selecting a specific location in the investigated area, provide detailed solutions covering the design of a public building or group of buildings as urban elements, and detailing the public space adjacent to the common urban public space structure, taking into account the envisaged urban concept.

03 CONCERT HALL IN ZAKUSALA, RIGA

ZaÄˇusala is one of the most potent ally interesting areas near the center of riga. It is easily reachable and covered with long waterways, making it one of the most atractve places to invest. Nevertheless, the land has now been led without any speciďŹ c use and is a completely closed part of the city. There is latvian television building whcih has about 15 ďŹ&#x201A;oors. The site can be easily reached by the a8 highway, the a8 is a national road in latvia connectng riga to lithuanian border (meitene), through jelgava, also known as jelgava highway in latvia. The aim of the project is to propose the building structure on the intersecton of different districts without distorting their identity, but also bringing a new conceptual structure that is compound of the surroundings. Zakusala site is very favorable in case of the new project. The environment leads itself for recreational/ public building .It is easy to access the site by car, bus or tram. Also it is easy to develop landscape as recreational zone as nothing is built up there. As it is located on one of the main driveways and there is a public transportation nearby. The minute you get to the site you can notice some interesting small ups and downs, and you might find some strange pathways, that can be also a part of architectural concept. Therefore ,there is no need to cut growing vegetation because it does not complicate the site, but opposite - creates an interesting landscape. There are several pleasant spots for a concert hall project proposal regarding all the analysed aspects and arise new ideas in search of the sites identity. This area is large enough to accommodate both the infrastructure and the urban public space functions. Also as my believe the main issue is needed here in riga - good quality concert hall, which could connect both sides of river and develop the bank of it as in other europe countries and it would make unused plot which have perfect view to the city livable and relived.

04 PRIMARY SCHOOL AND KINDERGARTEN IN BAJORAI

Primary school and kindergarten building is placed in Bajoru kelias street, Vilnius, Lithuania. The plot of the building is 3589m 2 . Building has one floor, which is detalised. Building has one parking for kindergarten and primary school, which is placed in front of the school in the north. Area by Bajoru kelias street and Mokslininku street is surrounded by greenery, residentiabuildings, commercial and a few public buildings.The location issurrounded by nature, away from the noise of the city, in a quiet environment. It is one of the most environmentally friendly areas in Vilnius. The city center is just 15 minutes away. by road, excellent transport links by public transport - the road next to the project connects to the main transport network of the city. Compositional axes in the area are created by buildings and streets. In order to complete the urban arrangement, the project building is developed according to some characteristicaxes. As winds are blocked, greenery in the site are invaluable and valuable trees. Idea is to find out what kids need most and to design school for them to feel everything them need- they have. Basic thing what kids need is space to Play, Learn, be safe. Other things supplement it. To sum up all needs comes out that building has to have a lot of space, for kids to be in moving-playing-learning-interacting , but not to be in school system which is already everywhere simple one design blocked classrooms, without any spaces for making new friends and new adventures-feelings. The other thing which came up with the concept idea is â&#x20AC;&#x201C; if kids need spaces for playing, learning, ineracting â&#x20AC;&#x201C; those spaces needs all lot of light, but not the artificial one, they need the real one, to feel safe being not only in the outside, but also in the inside of the building.

05 POP UP STORE INTERIOR PROJECT

The task for this project is to create a place where different young designers could sell their clothes during Pop up. Pop up would be organised during holidays or special days, like designers exibitions, christmas and etc. My idea is to hang us much clothes as it could be comfotable to move arround and see everything. Also to attract more people to come in from the busy Vokieciu street in Vilnius heart - city center. I choosed to make it by using blue galvonised steel tubes. It connects space by the maze and attracts people to come and follow the lines. Blue relieves the stress, so people feels relaxed after going all around the maze.

06 FREELANCE INTERIOR PROJECT

Flat interior project takes place in Vilnius city center - Uzupis. Flat area is 38 mÂ˛. Flat has 3 rooms with a huge cloackroom. Project is designed for a couple or business rent. As flat windows is situated in Southern side it gets sunny and has a very good view to the old town. Customer wanted flat interior to be Scandinavian and Japandi style mixed elements. I used wooden openwork walls in bedroom and livingroom. Floor is made from light brown oak. Kitchen has wooden bar on wheels, which could be transfrom to a bigger table if needed. It could be used for working table as well. Green kitchen panels gives accent in grey colour and wood textures. For bathroom i used light grey colour TERRAZZO tiles and white fiber cement facade panel.
