For Belgian artist Charlotte De Baere, painting feels like an honor. She feels gratitude every time she takes her brush to canvas, as she allows her dreams and visions to flow from her mind. In her work, she captures the colors, vibrations, and organic movements of her subject matter, which is focused on the cosmic energy of the universe. She elegantly pours acrylic paints onto canvas, applies pure gold pigments, and finishes each piece with resin. De Baere’s work is deeply rooted in her understanding of astrology, and confronts current social, political, and spiritual issues being faced by humanity and our planet. She strives for her work to bring light and liberation to her viewers, and leave them reflecting on the powerful imagery she presents. The talented artist is a natural healer, which exudes across her portfolio of works.

Painting my artworks always feels like an honor. I truly feel gratitude every time the first brush strokes touch my painting. Frequently, the nights before I paint, I get dreams and visions about what I am going to create. I see the colors, the vibrations, and the subject during these astral adventures. I pour acrylic paint and pure pigments onto each canvas, apply 24 carat gold leaf, and coat each work with resin. In the beginning I let the paint run freely, and then I start channeling the image that needs to form itself on the canvas. I follow the natural movement of the painting. After a while, the totality of the artwork becomes clear to me. That’s where I start working on the details. I feel the vibrations in every inch of my body. It is as if I am existing on a higher plane and in a long meditative state.
