JEANNETTE H A S L E R - G O B B I

530 West 25th Street, New York, NY

The work of Swiss artist Jeannette Hasler-Gobbi exudes the explosive power of nature. Inspired by the changing seasons, flora, fauna, and atmospheric phenomena, her paintings bear witness to the vibrant life that surrounds us. Multicolored pom poms cascade from the sky; thousands of variegated dots clutter into a blossom; a shower of rose petals descends against a backdrop of gold. Hasler-Gobbi infuses vigor into the canvas with resolute strokes of thick acrylic paint. Imploding forms, twirling spirals, and geometric conflagrations arrest the eye with dynamic magnetism. Her oeuvre is an exercise in selfinvestigation, as expressed through the beauty of Creation. Aside from her purely abstract pieces, her oeuvre also aims to raise awareness of the threat posed by climate change. Recently, she has completed a series on the Australian bush fires and the melting glaciers in Switzerland. Prior to undertaking an art career, Hasler-Gobbi worked as an architectural draftsman. Since 2007, she has exhibited in Aargau, Basel, St. Gallen, and Zurich and in virtual exhibitions with galleries in Barcelona, Florence, Mallorca, Miami, New York, and Venice. Her work appeared in ART International Contemporary Magazine. Hasler-Gobbi lives and works in Wettingen, Switzerland.

My work is inspired by nature. I am fascinated with the changing seasons, snowy landscapes, flowers, animals, and astronomical phenomena. I paint in acrylic, using primary colors combined with white and black to convey the vibrancy of the natural world. I not only depict the beauty of our planet but also try to raise awareness about the threat that climate change poses to it, such as the melting glaciers in Switzerland and worldwide. Above all, art has become a process of inner search and self-realization while I also share my knowledge with students giving art classes In community colleges
