Fineline Series Operable glass facade system
The Living Facade In response to demand for a more cost effective alternative to it’s acclaimed Fullview Series operable glass facade, AGP designed and built the Fineline Series, a versatile system which is custom designed and manufactured to suit the architects requirements. AGP Fineline Series louvres are available is either a closed or open configuration. In the closed system, the louvre blades are positioned outside the mullions for greater weather protection. With AGP Fineline Series, the bottom two louvres in each bay are fixed to act as a safety balustrade whilst giving the appearance of being part of a complete louvre facade. For additional safety, PE sensors detect if anyone is within the louvre system and to prevent closure until the space is clear. With the added bonus of providing a striking facade presence, AGP Fineline Series louvres maximise the amount of all year round liveable space. to the natural environment during pleasant weather, or closing it off when protection from inclement weather is required. For safety and protection from the weather, the operable glass louvres are supported by vertical aluminium mullions that have the operation mechanisms contained within. Hiding the mechanisms within the mullions also gives the system a neat, clean and attractive appearance. These support mullions and operating mechanisms are manufactured and assembled in AGP’s Huntingwood factory before being transported to the site where Installation time is minimal due to the simplicity of the system.

Custom Design Every Fineline operable glass louvre system is custom designed and built to the specific requirements of the application. With the potential to be custom built to suit most modern facade designs, the Fineline Series operable glass louvre system is suitable for use in a variety of internal and external applications. The ability to open large sections of a wall on demand makes this system an effective solution to meeting building codes and improving user comfort. The ability to quickly ventilate smoke from an enclosed space during a fire emergency, provide natural air flow for normally indoor areas and to ventilate cigarette smoke from bars and nightclubs, are all positive and practical benefits.

AGP Fineline Series louvres at King Street Wharf allow habitation of the balcony spaces all year round, with the motorised louvres able to fully open in fine weather while providing protection from the environment in increment weather. The AGP Fineline Series louvre system acts as a transparent screen wall, providing protection from the elements and diminishing noise from the local city. The system has been designed and engineered to cope with all movements of the building during its natural life.
