Normal behavior
Free of pain or disease
Our facilities are conducive to the generation of positive interaction among our animals.
In order to preserve the health of our animals, we have implemented a sanitary program that allows for the rapid prevention, treatment and diagnosing of any disease that may present itself.

Free of discomfort
Our halls are kept at a pleasant temperature and are appropriately ventilated.
We provide specially designed diets for every stage of their growth, as well as freely available water that comes from rapidly renewing underground aquifers.

Free of hunger or thirst
All of our workers are under the obligation to treat our animals respectfully and calmly, so as not to provoke any stress or fear.
INNOVATING TO KEEP IMPROVING In Agrosuper, we have implemented innovative initiatives that take our animal welfare practices to the next level, excelling in our investigation, development and operational excellence.
Auditive stimulation trials with music in female pigs in their gestation period, to generate a comfortable environment. Needle-free vaccinations using a digital device for intradermal injections. It causes no pain, and diminishes risks of infection in piglets. Environmental enrichment with toys for pig raising. Silent and calm reception of day-old chicks in order to reduce the stress caused by the change in environment.

WORKING TOGETHER We are trained by the Agricultural and Livestock Service (SAG), we participate in producer associations (Chile Carne/Asprocer) and belong to the technical committee for Animal Welfare. Additionally, we have shared experiences and good practices with the World Animal Protection ONG, the American Humane Association and both national and international universities to go above and beyond the 5 realms of animal welfare.
MULTIDISCIPLINARY WELFARE COMMITTEE We have created a multidisciplinary committee for Animal Welfare in Production since 2012, taking steps to enforce our policies with members belonging to different Managements and Deputy Managements within Agrosuper.
