Personal Statement The designs I develop celebrate the work of materials, subtle contrasts, and elaborate details. I have a keen interest in modern design, local materials, and projecting environment-friendly proposals where vegetation and the surrounding environment come together with the interior spaces. I like to think of projects as unique new challenges, inspired by their locations and the functional patterns to which they must respond. I use a minimalist palette of details, inspired by the site and the natural environment. Skills summary Design.

A new spatial contract Bonding through heritage The site is located on the banks of the Suquía River, in the city of Córdoba, Argentina. We live in a city that is about 400 years old, which has countless buildings of high historical and architectural value, but which nevertheless has found a way to turn its back on one of its most important heritage sites: its river. This project is a prototype for a new spatial contract between the city and the Suquia River, which argues for the recovery of resilient buildings as new connectors of the urban scope, seeking to further explore this threshold space and its different possibilities of materialization.
MANIFESTO | 9
Le 'Moulin' Empaqueté - eyes back on the long forgotten The former Río de la Plata Mill, dating from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, is an abandoned building located at the intersection of two main city axes: the Suquía River and the railroad tracks, close to the urban center. Voids are now presented as promises, spaces of infinite possibilities: the project aims to recover this long forgotten urban ruin with a program of cultural activities, at the same time proposing a new connection with the Suquía River. This connection shall not be barely visual, but an experience that reimagines the site as a vital physical, social, and cultural catalyst that can unite, rather than divide the city of Cordoba.

12 | MAIN SECTION Blurring Limits Architecture of Transitions The project redefines the transition between outside and inside, blurring the limits of interior space, therefore creating an atmosphere of true connection with its surroundings: a true public building that extends inward the concept of public space and the multiple functionalities of the city. Spatially, circulation plays a central role: the esplanade positions itself as the project's protagonist. It, indeed, can help generate encounters and instances for socialization among the users as well as with the immediate surroundings at large. Floor Plants materialize the presence of people and their unpredictable use of this hybrid and open space. This project stems from the belief that mixed-use buildings are the key to strong urban communities: they open up space, favor interaction, and create unexpected synergy. People can meet even when they are not heading the same way. Actual urban state

Hybrid spaces The post-digital era requires the built environment to become more agile, malleable, and adaptive to change. In this way, the system of hanging fabrics with rails allows them to be lowered or raised, a proposal that proactively curates spatial, temporal, and technological processes that reach beyond form and create novel identities responding to the complexity and unpredictability of our planet. At the same time, the necessity of social distancing brought forth by Covid-19 points to the need for new forms of flexibility and togetherness. As such, this sectorization system offers varied configurations of programmatic adaptability that allow for total cohesion or relative autonomy for the various segments of the building. Ocio en el Litoral Market.LAB
UPCT Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura y Edificación Project Workshop VI 2020 Type. Public Market and Leisure Centre Site. La Manga del Mar Menor, Murcia. España
24 | MANIFESTO
Ocio en el Litoral - Leisure on the coast the public squares of the 21st century. La Manga is a seaside spit of Mar Menor in the Region of Murcia, Spain. The strip is 21 km long and 100 metres wide, separating the Mediterranean Sea from the Mar Menor lagoon. After the tourist boom of the 20th century, large constructions gradually began to populate the territory considering its strategic position between two seas. This project experiments with the traditional concept of 'restaurant', breaking with its canon to project a hybrid and flexible space that encourages the inhabitants of La Manga to live new experiences of entertainment. Therefore, the proposal is conceived not only as a commercial space but also as a community space and a tool for a larger social integration, that at the same time tackles up some of the long-lasting urban issues that emerged from the fast and unorganized construction of tourist complexes: the loss of connection with the surrounding natural environment and the appearance of impermeable pedestrian corridors.

Inviting the ocean inside A gallery of mirrors The interior of the building explores how materials and technologies allow us to propose new ways of connecting people with the exterior environment. The sales stands that make up the indoor market are covered with mirror plates that allow, through their successive reflections, to immerse people and wet their feet with the salt water of the Mediterranean. Ultimately, they elevate materials and methods of construction into new poetics of inhabitation and space appropriation.

Poetic-built logic The concept of mirage takes a leading role in the project, together with its construction techniques. They give place to the possibility of letting surroundings weave in and out of the building, blurring the boundaries between architecture and exterior space, submerging users in a new gastronomic experience. People and the Sea are here invited to be closer together through an indirect bonding made possible by the materials that compose the interior space of the building.

CONSTRUCTIVE AXONOMETRY | 35
Constructive strategy Such visual and spatial permeability would not be possible without the structure that shapes the building. From the beginning, the structure was designed to act as a vierendeel beam, allowing it to have long distanced supports, which gives place to the open floor plan at the ground level and allows to raise the programmatic tray to reach the sea views.

| 37
38 | MANIFESTO Central Void Building up space for education The renovation of the Holy Family Institute addresses the architecture of the new learning establishments and the adaptation to a pre-existing building. It explores physical environments where teenagers belong to a highly inclusive, evolving community of peers learning together while providing a constructive solution to a building victim of successive interventions lacking a unique sense of connection. The school is located east of the city of Córdoba, in the General Pueyrredón neighborhood. The institute today presents itself as a fragmented volume, a sum of individual units with no correlation…a true reflection of the surrounding urban fabric.
MANIFESTO | 39
Project models Space is opened up by getting rid of the decaying and deteriorating constructions and then recovering the central void by completing the missing L of the building, continuing the original intention of the project. The covering skin of the new west façade extends covering the two remaining pre-existing facades (south and east), arranging behind it an exterior perimetral circulation and giving the institute a uniform image.

Recovering a tradition from the past Cloister arrangement is not a periclited system (intelligent architectural ideas do not expire) but one that it can preserve an attractive validity when it comes to organising space: in this case it gives way to the main courtyard which becomes the space-protagonist, big enough to let vegetation grow within its borders. It is the entry of natural light, the circulation, the voids, the enclosures and the furniture what allows the project to achieve the flexibility that characterizes the final result. Flying paper sheets in the images stand for the open and flexible space sought in the new educational facilities of the 21st century.

'La Bajadita' Green Tower La Plata, Buenos Aires. Argentina.
To be constructed Work team: RSA architects + Sebastian Martinez Villada and Mariana Larcamon Involvement phase: design development Personal tasks: - Intensively studied and iterated design options for the building 's facade, terrace and apartments inner distribution, building up 3d models in sketchup that could be used to make project-based decisions. - Developed interior - exterior concept and presentation for several design proposals, producing photo-realistic renders and diagrams later used for the official branding and project’s propaganda. - Accelerated client and contractor meetings by adding 3d models and visual features to new project proposals.
Project description: La Bajadita Green Tower seeks to boost a unique proposal oriented to modern urban life putting in value the surrounding environment and community-based housing models that enhance residents' interrelationships, prioritizing security and peace while attending the marked tendency of spending more time at home. The project unfolds on a 1440 square meter lot, with a total construction area of about 10,000 square meters, between covered and semi-covered areas, distributed in 72 apartments of between 60 and 110 square meters each. Almost 25% of the floor area of La Bajadita is given over to common spaces, in contrast to conventional multifamily buildings, where a ratio of 10% is typically calculated and limited to the spaces required to provide shared facilities and a route from the door of each house to the street. The pandemic hardly left a stone unturned. Being obliged to adopt a way of living within a limited radius, minimal contacts and the incapability of going outdoors definitely shook the foundations of housing concepts in architecture, bringing back the attention to the relationship between interior and exterior, built environment and nature, work, study and living.
56 | COMMUNITY LIFE
Terrace garden sector
Community life - new ways of living together The building is equipped with several meeting places where relationships between residents can be strengthened, and work as a threshold between the outdoor public space and the intimacy of the home. These community spaces improve efficiency, ensuring that certain infrastructural elements do not have to be multiplied across all 72 homes, but can instead be centralized, improving economic and environmental sustainability.

Rawson, Chubut. Argentina.
Competition. Honourable Mention out-of-program Work team: Ricardo Sargiotti, Maria Rovea Aguirre, Agustin Mauro, Franco Frisicaro, Daniela Lauandos, Maria Leguizamon, Lucia Salazar. The purpose of this project transcends the design of an isolated Administrative Center for the city of Rawson, capital of the province of Chubut, and suggests using the same resources to reinvent the city in the face of imminent contemporary challenges, placing Rawson and its region as a role-model for cities intervention and development, and a component of a broader geographical, ecological and economic system. For this reason, the proposal is given a different name from the one dictated by the contest regulations "Rawson Green Capital" The project's scheme can be summarized in the following topics: 1. Urban Architecture and Resilience instead of new buildings disconnected from the urban fabric. 2. Promotion of green spaces and existing infrastructures as public spaces. 3. A new Patagonia-Atlántico cycle-tourism network.

Urban Architecture and Resilience. At an urban scale, the administrative areas (requested in the competition bases to be located inside the lot of Rawson’s Green Spot) are instead placed inside a consolidated urban fabric, whether in new ad hoc constructions or by recycling abandoned buildings. In this way, construction stages can be easily controlled according to particular demands, and these locations can help reactivate deserted areas of the city, thus giving life and density to the capital city of Rawson. In the proposal, icons of well-known architectural projects were used with the intention of demonstrating that each new intervention would give the possibility of enriching Rawson's urban heritage with micro architecture competitions. "Micro" does not describe physical size but relativity among programs, perceptions, and contexts. By focusing on the smallest common denominator, Micro-Urbanism proposes solutions that mediate the small details and the big picture. Understanding the relations of hierarchy, recombination, and interconnection among groups and their components reveals their critical issues and potentials.

#CiudadQuilmes Quilmes' Brewery New Headquarters Buenos Aires. Argentina.
Private Competition - participation by invitation. Work team: Ricardo Sargiotti, Maria Rovea Aguirre, Agustin Mauro, Franco Frisicaro, Daniela Lauandos, Maria Leguizamon, Luca Clementi. The opening of the new headquarters will concur with the return to the offices and workspaces after the pause imposed by the pandemic. As companies and their teams prepare for such a return, some questions are being posed with urgency: How do we use our offices? Are The environments they offer still appropriate? How should the new postpandemic workspaces look like? And how could they overcome the inertia of the home-office tendency? This project argues for a new reinterpretation of the workspace, and adopts a programmatic layout that links the company's slogan: "we have the dream of uniting people for a better world" to the concept of “encounters” in the city. This idea of using qualities of the city as sustenance and organization for our proposal, allowed us to conceptualize the new office-space as a sequence of places that bring inside the experience of walking around streets, parks and urban blocks (public, semi-public and private spaces): a true city inside the city that brings people together.
Barrio Nuñez, Buenos Aires. Argentina Centro Empresarial Libertador
PROJECTS LEGACY | 65
#CiudadQuilmes a place for encounters. The city originated from the encounter between people, and today it continues to be the meeting place par excellence: It is the scenery of our lives. This is why it is embodied in the program’s layout, representing so forcefully in its essence what the beer Quilmes means for Argentines: gathering.
#Streets public thoroughfare. The streets or corridors have the particularity of always being visually connected with the outside, leading into open squares facing the river's façade with direct entrance of natural light. The experience of walking through these streets (unlike traditional dark corridors) allows users to easily recognize and find the most suitable place for the activity to be carried out.
#Squares open spaces for community gatherings. The "squares", clearly defined by their geometry, equipment and lighting, will always count with wide direct views towards the city and natural lighting, giving place to all kinds of relaxed, solitary or group-activities in the right environment. Their transition to the more formal areas (the "blocks") is made through coffee spots and stand-up sectors.
#Blocks working areas. Blocks, understood as the semi-public and private areas of the city, are defined by the “facades” that build the perimeter offices: meeting rooms, quiet or huddle rooms, phone booths and coffee spots, each one adapted to satisfy its needs. Inside the blocks, in the areas towards the outside of the building’s floor, one can find the more traditional areas (open offices) whose characteristics of natural lighting and views according to their position, will mark the personality.

A new paradigm These concepts of the city give shape to the programmatic matrix of the proposal, therefore, the logic of its internal subdivision does not respond only to a technical-functional reason but also a conceptual one that gives unity to the proposal. It is necessary to apply a balance between the virtues (in permanent change) of technological support and the need to provide pleasant, innovative and motivational places for people, which can give them security and familiarity, over uncertainties of permanent or superficial change.

A city within the city... The program separates itself from the main facade to allow the greatest possible entry of natural light and wide views to the outside. Other activities and services such as kinesiology, beauty and recording room, among others, are located in the Southwest angle, near the entrance to the 26th floor. All the decisions and ideas that guided the development of this project contributed to the materialization of a place that, beyond contemplating each of the functional, technological and constructive demands and requirements, places people at its center and as its raison d’etre: “El lugar del encuentro” - a place of encounters.

Space for more than one species Human beings have an innate affinity for all living things. In architecture and interior design, this translates into the use of plant species in the field of housing or work to create an environment closer to Nature. It is proven that this connection contributes to our well-being and a better quality of life, giving us greater positivity, energy and happiness.

PH OTO G R A P HY Journey Log Nikon D5600 There are moments that I would like to be able to grab and put in my pocket so I could carry them with myself the rest of the way. And it is the camera's shutter button that allows me to overcome the impossibility of such delusion and fulfill my need. They are the people who walk by my side, the birds that fly above my head, the animals that cross my way, the facades of the buildings that my eyes see or the shadows that they cast on the ground ... any of them are the ones that dictate the moment that I should bring to a pause, and it is my attempt to pause these atmospheres, well described by Peter Zumthor, that dictate the meaning of this Hobby of mine. Maybe it was this eagerness to capture the things around me that also led me to study the ordering of nature to encompass the needs of humans… And if you ask me if I have a “style” regarding photography, I must say that I am still looking for it…or maybe not. I may never find this that people call “my style”, but still, I am happy with it, because at the end, as J.M.W Turner says: "atmosphere is my style"
