X-TREME WILD Series The Bowmanville Zoo is Canada’s Oldest Private Zoo, established in 1919. We are the original children’s zoo and home to many famous Hollywood Celebrity Animal Actors. “X-TREME WILD” is based on the reality of predators as hunters. They hunt, kill, and eat. The process of food procurement is the definitive aspect of all predator biology. Kittens and cubs at play are manifesting hunting behavior. A predator can hunt without eating, but cannot eat without killing. Hunting is life to predators. The execution of this concept, both literal and biological, will be presented through four acts. The animals that will be touring with this educational exhibit are: Adult Male Lion, Adolescent Tiger and Lion, Wolves, Lynx, Zebra, Bison, Hare and Camels.
OPEN DAILY 4, 6 & 7 p.m.

Andi’s Petting Zoo DAILY 2 p.m. - 7 p.m.
Andi’s Petting Zoo has been family operated since 2004. “Our animals are all vaccinated and wormed regularly and are pets to us all year round. They consist of bunnies, pot bellied pigs, goats, sheep, miniature donkeys, minature horses and calves. Yes, they all have names. Calves are the only animals that get replaced yearly because they grow too big. We travel all surrounding areas through the summer and provide great hands on entertainment to all ages. It is a very enjoyable venture to see the excitement in the kids’ faces, and hear all types of questions and comments from young and old.
