This annual event is the heart and soul of the entire SoldierFestival event and kicks off our celebration honoring fallen heroes. Our guests can enjoy dancing, drinks, entertainment, and donating to support this worthy cause. During this military ball styled program, we acknowledge local leaders who support veterans and their families. Our past guest speakers have included: Congresswoman Alma D. Adams NC 12th District, Major Lindsay Jefferies, the first female African-American Blackhawk pilot in the North Carolina Army National Guard, and Commander Graves, Commander of the International Association of Minority Veterans.
This portion of the event showcases local and international jazz and inspirational artists. We strive to provide entertainment to our veteran families through all medias such as spoken word, and mine groups. This is an excellent opportunity for artists to show their support for our service men and women. We have hosted such as local and national recording artists: Buff “Bone Jazz” Dillard, Tommy and Nancy Lopez, Melisa Morgan, Nia Allen, Anita Wilson, Akya Canada and Shableek. These artists come to this event from both the East and West Coast.
