National Best Practice: Other communities are beginning to work on "Choosing Wisely", an initiative developed by physician medical specialty organizations with strong potential for consumer/patient engagement. The purpose is to encourage physicians, patients and other health care stakeholders to reduce medical tests and procedures that may be unnecessary, and in some instances can cause harm. Exploratory Question: What could happen that would help physicians and patients have the important conversations necessary to ensure the right care is delivered at the right time?
