WHY I’M TRAVELING / I’m going home to Washington, D.C. I just fi nished attending a big furniture conference here in Chicago. I’m trying to fi gure out what to put in a new building I’m designing.

NEVER LEAVE HOME WITHOUT IT

I always have my Kindle. I held off on getting one, but I gave in a few months ago. Now it’s indispensable. I read a lot when I travel, or I do sudoku.

I’D RATHER BE FLYING… / With my daughter. She’s sixteen and plays soccer, so we travel all over the country for tournaments. It’s fun and I like soccer, but I’m really a baseball fan.
