On Saturday, Texas volunteer firefighter Aaron Van Riper responded to a 911 call regarding a car crash when he made a heartbreaking discovery: The victims in the accident were his own wife, Amber, and his son; the boy has been released from the hospital and Van Riper’s wife, Amber, remains there, per the local ABC affiliate. The heartbreaking incident quickly gained national attention, and a friend of the family set up a GoFundMe account for the family’s mounting medical bills. On Wednesday night, a donation for $15,000 was left for the family, which was signed “Taylor Swift.” There have been more than 2,000 separate donations so far, so it seems like Swift has helped jump-start a worthy new trend.

The 28-year old actress said: “I met children who have had everything taken from them because of the conflict raging in their country. “They have left their homes and schools and are separated from friends and families. I spoke to mothers who were scared for their children’s future, desperate for them to have an education to give them freedom to rebuild their lives.” The four-year conflict in Syria has resulted in the worst refugee crisis in 20 years. There are 1.2 million Syrian refugees in Lebanon, a third of them children.

Located in Malibu, Calif., the treatment center focuses on bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety issues, and schizophrenia among other psychological concerns. But for Kim, at 50, this is not the first time in rehab. Richards’ last treatment experience followed arrests for public intoxication and battery on a police officer. She was in rehab, then went to her daughter Brooke’s wedding, where she became intoxicated again. The wedding became a bittersweet occasion for Brooke when her

mother Kim ignored the sober coach that had accompanied her and became unmanageable. The coach quit as the intoxicated Richards swore violent at Brooke’s new husband. “[Kim was] a mess,” confirmed multiple insiders of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reality TV star. Although Richards’ rehab treatment center had provided her with a pass to go to the wedding, she was supposed to head back on Memorial Day. She did not do so, and the sober coach, when she found she could not manage Kim, abandoned the situation after the wedding ceremony. The Foo Fighters’ lead singer, 46, wiped out during a concert at the Ullevi Stadium in Gothenburg, Sweden on Friday, June 12. Raven-Symone Is Taking Over For

he View has been struggling to find itself as several stalwart hosts have left over the years. With the departure of Rosie O’Donnell in February the show was in need of somebody new to fill the host’s chair. This morning it was announced The View has found its new permanent host. Former Cosby Show kid Raven-Symone has joined the morning show. The new job is not too surprising, as Raven-Symone has been a frequent guest host in the months

since O’Donnell’s departure. Rosie ended her second stint on the show this year, citing health concerns and the need to reduce stress as her reasons for leaving. Deadline reports Raven-Symone may be the first of several new hosts to be announced, as most of the remaining hosts do not have contracts for next season, either. The rest of the current panel includes Whoopi Goldberg, Rosie Perez, and Nicolle Wallace. Goldberg is the only long term host on the show, having been a part of The View since 2007. The other

two ladies joined the daytime talk program in 2014. She is also the only one who is set to return next season. Although one expects Raven-Symone’s deal will be for more than just the current season. At 29, Raven-Symone is the youngest host currently on the show by over a decade (although Elisabeth Hasselbeck was 26 when she began hosting in 2003). Depending on your age, you likely remember Raven-Symone as the youngest child on The Cosby Show in the early 90s or as the star of That’s So Raven on The Disney Channel in mid 2000. Most recently she appeared on Fox’s Empire. The View is about to go through a major shift in hosting. Expect Raven-Symone and Goldberg to bookend the hosts and any replacements to fill in at different ages between the two. The panel often includes as broad of a spectrum as possible in order to appeal to the most viewers. Even with the revolving door of hosts in recent years, The View , currently in its 18th season, is still doing well enough in the ratings to stick around. It’s been on the air so long, in fact, that Raven-Symone performed on the show when she was promoting the Disney Channel Movie The Cheetah Girls when she was 15 years old. Everybody please proceed to feel really old. Time will tell if the new host will have a major impact on the show or the ratings. For now, The View isn’t going anywhere, even if it bares little resemblance to itself a year from now. Hopefully, RavenSymone will be hanging around for a few years in order to help give the show a bit more stability.

The One-Word Key To Peace And Self-Acceptance By Mallika Chopra

oday is like so many days. I’m running late for a meeting and instantly start beating myself up. Why are you so stupid? Why didn’t you just leave the house a little earlier? Why didn’t you take a better route? Then I notice my thoughts. Uh-oh, I think. There I go, criticizing myself again. Instead of berating myself, I think through the situation and tell myself it’s no big deal. What’s 10 minutes one way or the other? But when I arrive late, as I’d expected to, and look around the room at the faces of the people who are gathered, I realize why I was so stressed.

The incident reminds me of something I read about gratitude and social interactions in Dr. Robert A. Emmons’s book, Thanks!; so, when I return home, I flip through it and find this: “Naikan is a practice of self-reflection that can help us ‘see the reciprocal quality of relationships.”’ Emmons quotes Gregg Krech, who wrote Naikan: Gratitude, Grace, and the Japanese Art of Self-Reflection: “If we are not willing to see and accept those events in which we have been the source of others’ suffering, then we cannot truly know ourselves or the grace by which we live.”

I wasted their time. And that’s disrespectful. For me, it’s not so much about being punctual or tardy; but rather, it’s about being considerate of people I care about. I want to honor my commitments and my relationships. And those are things I value. So, I offer a sincere apology, without the buffer of some trumped-up excuse (a tactic I’ve resorted to in the past). The tension in the room lifts, everyone smiles, I feel good about owning my bad behavior and relieved that I’ve been forgiven.

I’m stopped by the phrase the grace by which we live. I think about where the grace in my life comes from, the true blessings -- and notice that it’s mostly from other people; the friends and family who give my life meaning, of course, and the many nameless people I interact with during the day: the guy who lifted my carryon bag into the overhead bin on the plane not long ago, the little boy who ran after me to return the car keys I’d unknowingly dropped while walking down the street.

Even the drivers who give way so I can exit the freeway when I need to. To fulfill my intent to be there for friends and family, and the many strangers I come in contact with, I need to be grateful not only for the gifts they provide me, but also conscious about both the gifts I provide them and the ways in which I wound them, anger them and disappointment them. It’s a tall order. One I can’t hope to perfectly fill. But the idea of seeing my interactions in the context of mutual support and gratitude strikes a chord deep within me. We all have so many things to be grateful for, but they’re often the last things we think about. I believe we should try to think about these things every day. What are you grateful for? emember the fight at last year’s Love & Hip Hop Atlanta reunion, the one where an allegedly cracked-out Joseline Hernadez assaulted Althea Eaton? After getting fired from the show, Althea filed a lawsuit against Joseline. Benzino also accused producers orchestrating the fight for ratings (then firing him and Althea for speaking-out)! According to testimony, Joseline doesn’t disagree. Joseline just filmed a deposition where her attorney asks her – under oath –how real her behavior is on L&HH:ATL and Joseline outs the show as being completely fake! It seems like Joseline’s defense is that she was “acting” so it’s not really her that went bananas on Althea, but a character created for the show and dramatized to act a certain way and therefore this lawsuit is without merit? Joseline’s also insists she’s not the only one “playing” a part for this thing we believe is “reality” TV. Joseline’s attorney asks, “Is all or part of the show scripted?” She answers candidly, explaining, “It’s called ‘reality’ but it’s a lot of acting in the reality world.” “A lot of the girls that’s on the show – they act!,” Joseline elaborates. “It’s a lot of acting … whether it’s Love & Hip Hop or another show.” Then her attorney point-blank questions if Joseline is a “character” that was created, “Or is that the real you?” Joseline answers that we’re definitely not seeing the real her on L&HH! “Reality TV showcases a lot of who we are not. You never know what happens…,” she continues. “They’ll showcase your music, they’ll showcase certain things but that’s not who Joseline Hernandez is.” Just for the record Benzino has corroborated that Joseline and Stevie J. are fake, albeit he did it on twitter so I’m not sure how that holds up in court… Mona Scott-Young has denied that producers instigate the drama and create storylines or characters, but Joseline swore under oath that’s not the case!

Beyoncé Sued For $7 Million By Background Singer For Stealing ‘XO’ Beyoncé Knowles is laughing off the 7 million dollar lawsuit filed by a background singer accusing her of stealing his music for her hit song “XO” the explosive court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com reveal. Queen Bey explained to the court the two tracks don’t even sound a little bit alike, and she mentioned that she has no need to steal since she has “17 Grammy awards and 118 million records sold.” A background singer named Ahmad Lane filed the federal lawsuit last year against Knowles, her music company Parkwood Entertainment and Columbia Records, accusing Jay Z’s wife of stealing his music for her hit song “XO.”

He claimed that he worked as a background singer with Knowles’ current background singer Chrissy Collins for another artist. During his time working with Collins he had given her a copy of his song “XOXO” to listen to and infers that she passed it along to Knowles. On June 4, 2015, Knowles fired back at the background singer’s lawsuit claiming his complaint is “vague and cryptic.” She explains that she is a internationally known singer who has won 17 Grammys and sold over 118 million albums “The two works at issue are entirely different songs that share no lyrical or musical similarity, other than perhaps the letters “X” and “O.” The documents also state that Lane never filed a “copyright registration” for his song. The documents claim that Lane’s description of the copyright infringement is due to the fact that Knowles’ song “allegedly copies the first four bars of an eight bar melody that is looped,” and “contains a four note sequence that is similar to the four note sequence,” in her song. Knowles’ attorney writes asking the court to listen to the man’s song and compare it to hers and states that if anyone was to listen to both they would find the two works don’t share any, “melodic content and there is no meaningful similarity in pitch series, rhythm or rhythmic patterns, melodic development or structure”

Also, Knowles’ attorney states, “the two songs are distinct from a thematic perspective” with the man’s song describing the narrator’s romantic and sexual feelings towards a new lover. His song features lyrics talking about “being horny” and “wanting to love every inch of the lover’s body,” while her song is a “celebration of love and life, emphasizing the importance of living in the present with a loved one ‘before our time has run out.’” Knowles is asking the court to dismiss the $7 million dollar lawsuit and that the background singer be awarded nothing.

Kelly Rutherford’s lawyer claims ex falsified an email about his visa

he mess that is Kelly Rutherford’s custody battle developed a new wrinkle Thursday when the actress’ lawyer alleged Rutherford’s ex, Daniel Giersch, falsified the email in which he claimed to have had his visa revoked in 2012. That alleged revocation led to the former couple’s children being sent out of the United States to live with their dad, who is a citizen of Germany. Wendy Murphy stated “We brought to the California court’s attention for the first time today, the fact that a fraudulent email purporting to be sent to the children’s father by the U.S. Embassy in Berlin was submitted to the court in 2012 to justify the California court’s initial decision to make the children leave the United States and reside abroad. “It is abundantly clear that the document is not authentic as it is signed by the ‘US Consulate in Berlin’ and there is NO consulate in Berlin –- there is only an embassy,” Fahi Takesh Hallin, who is representing Giersch in the proceedings, dismissed the allegation, saying “As our papers filed today indicate, the visa revocation was unfortunately very real.” Rutherford was recently granted temporary sole custody of the children.

Flavor Flav is off the hook in Fourth of July fireworks case Prosecutors have thrown out an illegal fireworks case against Flavor Flav -- just in time for the one-year anniversary of Flav’s alleged light show at his home in Las Vegas. The District Attorney’s office did not have enough information to proceed in court, so the case was dismissed. The rapper was accused of setting off 100 pounds of illegal fireworks on July 4, 2014.

he 17-year-old revealed Monday that she has begun the process of moving into her $2.7 million mansion in Calabasas, Calif. “Don’t you wish your move in crew looked like mine,” Jenner captioned an Instagram selfie of her with sister Khloe Kardashian. Moving day!!!!” The reality star first showed off her new home in March, which showed her in a living room boasting two chandeliers and a fireplace.
