SOCIAL HOUSING

SPRING 2016 | GRADUATION PROJECT

VISION • Starting from the game which based on sharing knowledge and peer-to-peer learning concept is representing the approach to create a tool for play and interact. The materials of this basic elements is recycled from local materials found around in the surrounding environment and reused in a new function show much love toward their hope and ambitions toward their childhood. THAT SIMPLE PAPER MODEL PLANE REPRESENT THEIR TOMORROW DREAMS & ENDLESS FREEDOM All of these things make elements treated with much love and create a sense of belonging to the culture rather than enter a toy store and all what it take to play and have fun is only money so we found kids of higher layers don’t show much respect to these elements in their childhood because the sense of belonging that’s absence from the scene and lake of culture aspects • FROM THESE POINTS I FOUND A CERTAIN DESCRIPTION FOR THESE THINGS THAT I COULD NAME IT VOCABULARY, IF WE COMPILE ALL THESE VOCABULARY WE WILL HAVE VOCABULARY OF COHESION

SSOA Mapping Workshop SPRING 2015 | WORKSHOP

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP CLUSTER and the postgraduate studio Global Praxis from SSoA (Sheffield School of Architecture, University of Sheffield) organized a collaborative mapping workshop in Cairo, titled: “Mapping Relationscapes. The workshop, involving Sheffield and Cairo based planners and designers, discussed collaborative modes of spatial practice, based on an investigation of the uses and appropriations of passageways in Downtown Cairo. The 5-day workshop included 21 students from SSoA and 18 students from GUC, AUC, and AAST in Cairo. The workshop aim was to test methods of mapping the social relations underpinning spatial production, while simultaneously exploring passageways as key sites in the redevelopment of Downtown. Studio Global Praxis works at the intersection of spatial practice and critical reflection, assuming the city as a field of dispute that is informed and transformed by competing social, economic and political relations.
