§ Motivation Letter
Dear O6USMA Friends, Hoping this letter finds you all in great health. It gives me great honor to present to my candidature for O6USMA Secretary General & Treasurer for the term 20152016. Hoping to get your honest support and receiving the honor of holding such responsibility First, allow me to introduce myself, my name is Ahmed Mohamed Farid, I am 3rd year medical student at faculty of medicine, October 6 University. I am the current Projects SDD of my LC, O6USMA. All over the past 2 years, I have been deeply involved in IFMSA Egypt world. I have been an active member. I worked in all the standing comities and held several posts; I was my LC, local coordinator of women around the clock, executive board support team & acting publication director. I have attended 2 O6USMA Local GAs, 4 IFMSA Egypt NGAs, 2 IFMSA Egypt Camps and Pre EMR11. The reason I am telling you all these, is to give you a hint about my life in IFMSA Egypt. I am truly blended in this federation. And every moment that has passed, only made me eager for more. I have been an active member on the local level & national level for 2 years, participating in a variety of activities, and then I had the opportunity to participate in more through being IFMSA Delegate to FIGO World Congress 2015, which greatly added to my communication skills and cultural acceptance and most importantly made me realize the global nature of IFMSA activities. Since then, I reached a deeper belief that students’ organization can lead the change, on local, national and international levels, and I became very enthusiastic to take a leading role in achieving this change. I truly enjoyed my life in this federation over all those years, which really mean a lot for me. It changed me a lot, and developed me a lot as well. Allover those years of hard working I have gained enormous amount experience. My skills had greatly developed. It has contributed a lot to me. And as I said before, I am not fed up with this yet, I am still eager to give more.

I am really motivated for this post; I already have a lot of plans in my head. I am looking forward working hard, thinking outside the box to develop and to add more to our dear federation. And I believe I have all the required managerial & leadership skills and the required experience for it. I am looking forward this honor to serve our beloved O6USMA. And I can guarantee that you wont regret it. Running for O6USMA Sec. Gen and Treasurer, I am willing to establish a new scope for the performance of such position. I am looking forward to raise the bar and hand over such new ideas to my successor to further improve it and incorporate it as an ideal level of performance of this position. § Plan Of Action Secretary Work • Receive a complete and smooth handover from the Secretary General • Preparation and participation in IFMSA-Egypt General Assembly meetings • Preparations and Participation in O6USMA TO meetings • Constitutional updates & modifications done by the General Assembly • Maintaining O6USMA Structure • Annual guide: Name & contacts of O6USMA TO & LCs Board • Support O6USMA structure • Debts. • Periodical reporting from the TO • Minutes of the EB, TO & General Assembly meetings • Collecting the accreditation papers of the LCs
Archiving -
Maintaining the current archive and documents gathered by the former Secretaries general. Recent online archiving facilities that will ensure convenience and regular updates
Reporting -
Periodical reporting of the officials. Creating periodic activity reports O6USMA on the National & Local aspects. Creating a periodic full report of all activities, which will help us a lot when being presented to other associations & partners.
Constitution & Bylaws - Work hard on reforming the constitution & bylaws to fix any bugs and mistakes
found & provide O6USMA with the list of edits in O6USMA General Assemblies Ensure that the organization’s work comply the proper bylaws

Attending IFMSA Egypt General Assemblies Representing O6UMA & IFMSA Egypt in the best way in all international platforms along with the O6USMA president & VPs. Arranging delegation and preparation for the IFMSA Egypt General Assembly meetings with the Presidents & the VP. Keep in contact with IFMSA Egypt Secretary General & Treasurer

Supporting LC structure. Ensuring Capacity building to raise O6USMA Quality Working with the executive board on the full membership file

Supervising O6USMA Publication kit with the aid of VPs & Publication director. Providing an online form of this database along with O6USMA members to create communication platform and outreach to all O6USMA medical students. Activating O6USMA Google Servers

Treasurer Work
General finances - Improving and maintaining the financial standing of the association. - Determining financial strategy and policy. - Managing financial risks in the organization. - Organizing finances with regular updates - Collecting membership fees and debts - Ensure that the record keeping - Providing trainings for the LC about financial reporting and budgets in cooperation with O6USMA Training SDD - Transparency of all finances through official documentations of all money transferees.
Financial planning and budgeting - Prepare and present the proposed budget and plan of the term.
Financial reporting - Present budgets, accounts and financial statements to O6USMA. - Present regular reports on the organization’s financial position - Periodical reporting to the GA
Banking, book-keeping and record-keeping - Establishing bank account. - Updating and maintaining the Payment through different means & bookkeeping system. - Ensure everyone handling money keeps proper records and documentation.

Funding & Fundraising - Advise on the organization’s fundraising strategy in cooperation with VPs and preparing grant proposals - Ensure that the use of funds complies with conditions set by funding partners in the official contracts. - Ensure the proper use of the funds for the best interest. - Ensure that fundraising complies with relevant legislation. - Ensure effective monitoring and reporting. - Increasing our resources.
IFMSA Egypt Finances - Following up with IFMSA Egypt treasurer, providing all the support and help needed. - Overcoming & aiding any defects.
