TAHRIR TOWER The concept begins with the relation between the revolution and the structure , in other words the dynamic of revolution , and the static of the building. So this building took the monumental massive structure style to memorize the revolution that took place in this area , in an architectural way . The difference of level represents the ups and downs of the revolution while the missing parts of the building give us the idea that our revolution is not yet ÂŤ perfect ÂŤ and it still missing some parts . The orientation and the site of the building defines the floor plans shapes that already oriented to the main street of the Egyptian Museum

GUC CAMPUS Current Situation : •

Buildings already have high percentage of glass that can be replaced with photovolatic winows and adding more solar panels on the roof and the facades to reduce the amount of energy consumed Campus already have large green areas, so we can existing plants with productive and native plants. Empty spaces in the campus can be used to adopt waste recycle industries.

THE UNIT The concept of this residential building is providing the ability of different areas for housing according to the different needs ( Small studios for one or two persons ) - ( Medium apartments for small families ) - ( Big apartments for bigger families ), in the same way it still approach the main concept of privacy ,comfortable accommodation with the respect to the orientation of the building and visual relationship between all the surroundings.

INTERBAU HOUSING Why going outside, when you have everything you need inside The term vertical district means in this design project , how to transform the horizontal urbanization of district that consist of mixed use functions with the green areas and even the apartments, under one roof in a vertical leveling combinations. So it saves much space, creating more possibilities of social interactions and be a module that would spread out in similar communities. The Main Purpose and concept of the building is: affordability that you have all your needs in one closed unit; however the area or the number of rooms you want to have, the building can afford that. The remarkable statue or sculpture are The V pillars lifting the building , which was inspired by Hansaviertel Interbau Apartment House by Oscar Niemeyer.

The Shading element has a modern style of mashrabya that indirects sunlight and giving some privacy for the residents, divided into two elements: Fixed ( Balaconies ) and flexible ones ( The shading windows ).

The Colors of the building were chosen to be light colors and in the same way have almost the same colors of the surroundings ( Sand, rocks and trees ). These elements combined with each other to have facades that are functional, thermal treated and traditional in a modern way The Building facades are a reflection to the surroundings with a taste of traditional Egyptian elements, to introduce a modern functional faรงades in addition to interact with the surrounding environment. The Facades consist of 3 elements; the building structure + the second layer + the shading elements. The building structure material which is the concrete is cladded with a light paint to reflect the heat instead of absorb it, and the second layer is the GRC material, covering the building like several ribbons to work as a massive wall reducing the thermal bridge and filled inside with a thermal insulation material.
