Russia, Middle East and Europe are viewed as potential markets for exporting Armenian vegetables on the assumption of the factors such as their spaciousness, consumers’ purchasing power and geographical distance. This material includes brief outputs of a research r on the RF vegetable market. The import markets of vegetables highly consumed in the aforementioned market, in particular, tomato, cucumber, carrot, cabbage and turnip has been researched.
Tomato As of the mentioned vegetables, tomato is the most popular vegetable in Russia, and the imported tomato makes up the 91 % in the market and only 9% is produced locally. 80 and more percent of the tomato imported to the RF is produced in greenhouses. In 2010 the RF has imported 699282 tones es of tomato from all over the world. world. Half of the total amount is imported by Turkey. Conclusions Tomato is mainly imported into the RF from November to July, which makes 83% of total annual imports. Maximum imports amount is recorded in May and June. Prices are of strictly seasonal nature - the highest and lowest prices of the imported tomato are recorded respectively in April and in September. “Low price – high volume share” share link is generally noticed; nevertheless it is often accompanied accompan with exclusions.
Cucumber Due to its dual cropping during one growing season, cucumber ensures the highest income of all vegetables grown in greenhouses. In 2010 201409 tones of cucumber was imported into Russia from all over the world. Imported produce prevails in the RF cucumber market also, which constitutes the 76% of the total market. Iran is considered to be the main importer.

Conclusions
The monthly dynamic of import quantities in i the RF cucumbers market is like that of tomatoes, except that the fall in the quantity of the import of tomatoes starts from the month of July, while in the case of cucumbers, from May. The period of the highest price period for imported tomatoes in the RF cucumber market is February ruary and March. The importer offers the lowest price in September. In 2010, because of the anomalous climatic conditions, a noticeable deviation was recorded in the prices dynamic, and the highest price was reported in August which is within the time zone of the lowest price on cucumbers.

Cabbage
In 2010, 245021tones of cabbage was imported into the RF from all over the world. The main supplier is Poland. The Ukraine, Kazakhstan and China offer lower prices.
